The masked tyrant lounged, tigers stalking to either side. Four people stood before him.

“Behold my time machine,” he pronounced. “For your sister’s return, you must retrieve two items from the 17th century.”

The eldest of the four, hair graying at his temples, asked, “And those items are?”

“Originally I planned to seek Blackbeard’s treasure, but now I want only these.” Doom showed them parchment drawings. “You will bring me the compass of Captain Sparrow and the heart of Davey Jones.”

Buffy sighed. At least he didn’t know Dawn was the Key, or he’d use her for more than bait.
