Holiday Disasters (Dawn/George O'Malley)
Disclaimer: I don't own BtVS or Grey's Anatomy ... I'm just playing with the characters.

Dawn looked around the empty hospital room to see if anyone would notice her follow George in there. They’d been trying to get a moment alone for the last three days but then her sister came and took over Dawn’s apartment.
It looked like Christmas had thrown up in there. It was disgusting.
When she first went in after a 18 hour shift, her eyes teared up because of all the green and red and silver decorations. Literally.
She didn’t care what anyone thought. Not even Izzie could beat Buffy when it came to Christmas.
Seriously.
So when George grabbed her hand and looked at her like a cute little puppy dog she was more than willing to follow him.
After all, he was leading her to a no-holiday zone. All day they’d seen people coming in because they accidentally lit their Christmas tree’s on fire, electrocuted themselves hanging lights or, and this was Dawn’s favorite, swallowed decorations.
Granted, it was mostly children who did that but she wasn’t looking forward to having to sift through feces to find a section of garland that the family just
had to use.
“So, I don’t know about you but just being away from the craziness for the 15 seconds we’ve been in here has almost completely rejuvenated me,” he joked.
Dawn laughed.
“Not quite. I think I may need a little longer than that.”
She sat down at the end of the hospital bed and caught the mischievous smirk on George’s face.
“What?” she asked flatly.
George pointed upward. She followed the direction his finger was going and gave him a smirk of her own.
“I think, in the interest of not breaking any sacred holiday traditions, that we better think very hard about not following through with this one. We might bring on the apocalypse if we don’t. Hoards of locusts and all that,” George said and walked toward her slowly.
He had his ‘Hi, I’m George. I’m trying to be sexy now but just coming off as adorable, but aren’t I cute anyway?’ face on and Dawn stood up.
“We wouldn’t want that. Last time something like that happened I lost my favorite pair of shoes,” she said and grabbed onto the sides of his lab coat.
“Is that right?” he asked.
“Uh huh,” she said and closed the rest of the distance between them.
It was a quick kiss but George ended it with flair, bowing her down and then twirling her around like they were dancing.
Dawn laughed out loud and gave him a hug.
“Now that’s one holiday tradition I can get behind.”
