Report of A. L. Harris (cont.)
Well what can I say about Kinsey? He was an ass. That easily sums him up.
He was brought in on the assumption he was there to audit the SGC. In actuality, he was there to shut it down. Faith and I were in for only some of the meeting, till I noticed a gleam in her eyes. She was looking at Bob as if she knew something. She did know something big. Big and juicy and she was itching to hit him with it. Just before the meeting closed, she went over to talk to him briefly.
I swear, I never saw a man’s eyes get that big, unless he was either seeing something outstanding, or he just was hit with a horrifying truth. Shortly after that, good old Bob left the SGC, telling the General that he would be watching, but he would let the command continue to operate.
Faith told us later that she had proof that Bob was a contributor to, and had a contributor in Richard Wilkins the Third, former mayor of Sunnydale, and perhaps or perhaps not known to the good Senator, a demon worshiper. How would that look if it came out that the good Senator, a God fearing and abiding man that he was, supported and was supported by someone who worshiped demons, and engaged in dark rituals and the like.
Faith paid for no drinks for the next week.
We did face the End of the World situation, but to find out what exactly happened, I need you to come to Colorado. I have a situation that I need your help with, and you are the only one I trust. You can bring Dawn, if she is still doing the research bit back at the Council. None of the others, as I am just not ready to see them.
I promise you, you will not be wasting your time.
Once upon a time I told you I would be asking you for help, and I would need it when I ask. I need your help. I am asking now.
There are two business class tickets waiting at Heathrow for you and Dawn.
Are you coming?
That ends this section. There is more to come.
