Brothers (BSG/Doctor Who) by ShayneT

It was glorious.

Always before, the Cylons had believed themselves to be alone in the universe. There were humans, of course, but humans were a blasphemous race who refused to acknowledge the one true God.

Yet here, on this wind blasted expanse of a world, they’d found them. There were other life forms out there that were neither entirely mechanical, nor organic.

It had to be the will of God.

Six had been chosen as the ambassador, and as she stepped off the ramp, she was surprised by their sleek, nonhumanoid shape.

These creatures looked a little like salt shakers, and for a moment she wondered how they were able to manage stairs.

“I am Six,” she said to the first of the silent hulking forms. Behind her she could hear the mechanical Cylons shifting uneasily, along with a few of the other models of organics. They’d wanted to make sure these creatures understood that they were kindred.

“On behalf of the Cylon nation, I would like to…”

The creature spoke for the first time. Its voice was electronic and shrill.

“WHAT YOU WANT DOES NOT MATTER. YOUR SHIPS HAVE BEEN ANALYZED.”

“What?” Six asked. Before she could say anything else, the ranks of mechanical creatures in front of her began to levitate into the air. It was only a moment before they were merely black specks in the sky, heading for open space.

It took her a moment to realize that they were heading for the fleet.

She could hear one of the others screaming frantically into a radio before being blasted out of existence by a strange beam of energy.

”What are you doing? We are brothers!”

“THE DALEKS ARE BROTHERS TO NO ONE.” The creature shouted. “YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED. EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!!!!”

Six didn’t even have time to scream before her body dissolved into ashes.

This time, as the Daleks swarmed over the remnant of the Cylon Fleet, there would be no resurrection.
