As Scorpius strapped John Crichton into the Aurora Chair, a flash of inspiration hit the former astronaut and he made a last-ditch effort to save himself and the wormhole knowledge in his mind.

"Goddess Hecate," he chanted, "work thy will. Before thee let the unclean thing crawl!"

Mystical energy swirled around Scorpius, releasing a blinding flash of light. When his vision returned, he saw a DRD on its back, twisting from side to side on the floor.

He got out of the chair and prodded the creature with his foot. "Funny," he remarked, "That's not how I remember that working…"
