A Different Future

Hammond exhaled and took the lead. “Sergeant Chase, I have to tell you that this briefing is classified Top Secret and I won’t have to remind you of the penalties for divulging anything that is discussed.”

“No, sir,” she replied.

“Very well. We should get down to business – there’s a great deal to cover,” the USAF General nodded.

“I suppose you’re wondering why you’ve been assigned to Task Force Van Helsing?” Hammond was clearly having problems with the name.

Cordelia’s alarm system went into overdrive. With a designation like “Van Helsing”, it couldn’t be a coincidence. This was all about Sunnydale and things that went bump in the night.

“The name was my idea,” O’Neill put in almost proudly, carefully watching Cordelia’s reaction – clearly, the reference had struck a cord.

Summery: Cordelia's life takes a very different turn after leaving Sunnydale.

A Different Future

A Different Future has to be one of the best Cordelia series I've ever read. A brilliant multi-cross spanning Stargate, Buffy and NCIS... With a cast and supporting characters that really make this universe unique and full. The characterisation here is pretty much perfect, bringing together quite a collection of unique characters from the shows, and some original characters that are not only deeply rooted in their respective universes, but actually amusing and lovable in their own right.

It's no shock that one of the stories from the A Different Future, specifically "Someone Elses Mess" has been nominated for the COA.

Nominated for best portrayal of other character

This series ticks so many boxes it's unbelievable, it's funny and epic, with enough jibes and history to make even the most criticising fanfiction reader beg for more. It's a series that I've only recently discovered after it being recommended to me by Damia, and I can't thank them enough for the recommendation. This one has definitely earned a place on my tracking list, and it's one I believe is going to be a sure-fire winner at the COA this year. Give the series a read, trust me, you'll love it.

Disclaimer: None of the original photos belong to me, all I own is the time used to make the pics. If there's a fic or a scene from a fic that you would like to see here, let me know and i'll get on it :) Pretty soon i'm going to run out of idea's for my fave's, so it would be nice to have some input.
