Summary: He was surprised they’d never met before – it was obvious they had a lot to discuss.

He’d noticed her right away.

After all, there weren’t many Anglos wandering around the tiny Tibetan village of Shenza, and she stood out - delicate doll-like features, impossibly large blue eyes and that cascade of pale blonde hair.

Still, it was a surprise to see her appear in the dead of night hovering on a broomstick while a snow demon ravaged the village.

She held out her hand. “Hop on, Wolfie.”

He didn’t stop to think, just scrambled up behind her and watched the world fall away.

They flew some distance down the mountain before she brought them in low. He fell off in a particularly graceless tumble while she gently touched down.

She studied him as he got to his feet. “You didn’t seem very surprised about the broom.”

“I’ve seen some odd things. This – not even in the top ten. But how did you-?”

Her mouth curved in a mysterious little smile. “Seen a few odd things too.”

“Funny we haven’t met before. I’m Oz – I’m here studying meditation practices. You?”

“Luna. I’m…looking for a yeti.” She waited for a laugh that never came.

“Interesting.”

It was said without any hint of mockery and she smiled. “Quite actually.”
