Xander paced the length of the room. He was worried. The return of the Old Ones...He knew something like this would happen. None of the family reunions were peaceful gatherings, ever. But Xander it seemed was related to some of the worlds' most powerful champions.
Xander's pacing got more hurried as he formed plans fast and discarded them even faster.
Back and forth...forth and back...he continued to pace not realizing the speed of his pacing had accelerate in his agitated state until he turned and came face to face with Spike.
"Yack!!! Where did you come from?"
Spike said nothing, but looked at Xander seriously and said, "Stop."
"Stop trying so hard to think of a plan, Xander. You are one of the best stagiest I've ever seen. You will come up with something."
"Thanks Blondie, but it would be easier if I knew more about the Old Ones...Why they choose now to raise. Their strengths, weakness, what weapons we have that we could use...Who all has powers that could be used against them. Information is what I need and don't have right now. I think the Old Ones may have an advantage." Xander told him Spike.
Spike laughed, "Look around you Xan. You have the world's greatest around you."
Xander paused and looked around at the family and close friends of his klan. Spike was right he had the best of the best on his side.
Xander grinned, "You know what, Spike? I don't think the Old Ones will have a chance against us."
Spike's returning grinned held a feral edge to it as his said, "Not a chance in hell, pet."
