Willow stared in wonder at the canyon before her. It was hard to believe that Sunnydale once stood there. Now, it was gone; the homes, the stores, the hellmouth, all gone. After seven long and painful years they had finally closed the hellmouth for good.

They had changed the world, changed the balance… All those slayers, girls that would never be left alone to fight.

“We saved the world,” Xander said. Shock, grief and pride battled for space on his expressive features.

“We changed the world,” Willow added.

Willow walked up to Buffy. “I can feel them, Buffy. All over. Slayers are awakening everywhere.”

Dawn straightened her shoulders. “We have to find them.”

“We will,” Willow assured her.

They had to. All those girls and women. With all that power. Not knowing, not understanding. Everyone who was a Potential was called.

Sam Carter tossed in her bed, visions of teenage girls dancing in her dreams. Sam frowned as she watched a young Indian girl fight a man, his face all deformed. Sam cried out as the man reached out and easily snapped the girl’s neck.

Sam threw an arm out, hitting her headboard. The thick wood splintered under the force of the blow.

Sam brushed her face as she slowly woke up. What the…? She sat up, a stream of wood splinters falling into her lap. Sam looked around her bedroom, including the ceiling, before examining the destroyed headboard. She lightly ran her fingers over the remains.

First she started having those dreams again, all those girls fighting hideous creatures and now her furniture was crumbling around her. It just figured, they had a special diplomatic mission this afternoon. This was not the best way to get the day started. Sam’s alarm started to beep. Sam grumbled irritably and slapped the off button. The clock’s casing cracked.

“This is not my week!”
