TtH Drabbles Challenge: #010 – Vacation
Fic-for-All Pairing: Giles, Hank Landry (SG-1)

When this meeting started, Hank Landry was wondering why he was even meeting with this man. His working theory was that Mr. Giles obviously had some highly inflammatory blackmail material on most everyone at MI5, the IOA, the CIA and possibly the president.

By the end, he was wondering why they’d never met before.

Five years ago he would have balked at the idea of superhuman fighters or scholars of esoteric knowledge. But now, with the Ori on their doorstep and the Wraith in Pegasus? He wasn’t about to look a gift horse with obscenely high-level security clearance in the mouth.

Still, there would be a few strings to pull to make this work.

“I’m going to need some time to get sign off on this…”

Mr. Giles nodded. “Of course. I will need to confer with my people as well.”

“You don’t think there will be a problem with the idea of traveling to another galaxy?”

There was something unsettling about the way Giles chuckled in response.

“I think they’ll be fine. It will be a bit of vacation from the usual.”

Something about the way he said that made Landry think Mr. Giles wasn’t telling him quite everything.
