Apollo’s DRADIS chirped.

“Galactica, Apollo... I’m in Viper 3. I have a bogey on my ten, I’m gonna go and check it out.“ He rolled his viper in the general direction of the contact. Without warning, the contact disappeared.

“Where’d he go? Where the FRAK did you go?” Apollo looked around frantically, trying to get a visual of the bogey. Something buzzed his canopy.

“Whoa! What the FRAK?!”

Just as quickly as the object has appeared, it vanished. Apollo continued looking around. This was NOT typical Cylon behavior. Just what the frak was going on?

It was then that the viper sailed up smoothly. Apollo caught it in his peripheral vision, and did a double take. The pilot was... It *couldn’t* be...

She turned to look at him, and smiled sheepishly. “Hi Lee.”

“Kara?!”

“Don’t freak out, it really is me.” Kara chuckled and grinned. “It’s gonna be okay. I’ve been to Earth. I know where it is, and I’m gonna take us there.”

Lee goggled.

Kara’s grin widened further. “And I brought some friends with me. Shaft, Starbuck.”

The reply came over the radio. “Shaft.”

“Say hello to Major Adama, Cam.”

Before Lee’s eyes, an entire squadron of winged fighter-sized craft burst from the nebula, buzzing the two vipers in tight formation.

By this point, Lee Adama had regained control over his faculties. “You taught them that, didn’t you, Kara?”

The radio crackled in his ear. A drawling male voice filled his ears. “Naw... That was all me. Lieutenant Colonel Cameron Mitchell, at your service.” One of the alien ships came up on Lee’s other side and the pilot waved. “I hear you’ve got some problems with some sorta freaky robot armada.”

Lee was a bit non-plussed. “Any assistance you can provide would be great.”

“Odyssey, Shaft. Let’s roll.”
