Disclaimer: I don't own any of this. Wish I did.
The Prologue dialogue is taken from Chosen (except the bit between Nate and Anita). Anything else, is my own work.
BTW: I got the idea for Xan/Nate from astracindel's You Said You Only Made it to Oxnard.

"Ease off, we're clear," says Faith, as she tends to Robin's injury. The bus slows, Buffy still clinging to the top, then stops. Buffy jumps to the ground. Those still able to walk, exit the bus as Dawn hugs her sister.

"I don't understand. What did this?" questions Giles.

Buffy's answer was a sad, "Spike."

The group gathers to look at the crater that used to be Sunnydale, as a 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign falls into the massive pit.

Xander questions Andrew about what happened to Anya. "She was incredible. She died saving my life."

"That's my girl. Always doing the stupid thing," replies the one-eyed man, trying to sound like his normal cheerful self.

As Vi tends to the former principal, Faith joins the others outside. "Looks like the Hellmouth is closed for business."

"There's another one in Cleveland. Smaller, though," replies Giles wearily.

"We saved the world," says Xander.

"We changed the world," returns Willow. The red-headed witch goes over to Buffy. "I can feel them, Buffy. All over. Slayers are awakening everywhere."

"We'll have to find them," says Dawn in a quiet voice.

"We will."

"Yes, because the mall was in Sunnydale, so there's no hope of going there tomorrow," remarks the Watcher.

"We destroyed the mall? I fought on the wrong side," responds Dawn, trying for a bit of levity.

Xander picks up the cue and continues. "All those shops gone, The Gap, Starbucks, Toys R Us. Who'll remember all those landmarks unless we tell the world?"

"We have a lot of work ahead of us," says Giles.

"Can I push him in?" chimes in Faith.

"You have my vote," responds the witch.

"I wanna sleep, yo. For like a week," continues the dark haired slayer.

"I guess we all could, if we wanted to," says the youngest Summers.

"The First is scrunched. So, what do you think we should do Buffy?" asks Willow.

"Yeah, you're not the one and only Chosen anymore," puts in Faith. "You can just live like a person. How's that feel?"

"Yeah Buffy. What are we gonna do now?"

"Anita!" screams a young man with long auburn hair and lavender eyes. "Anita! Did you just see the news? Sunnydale is gone! It's nothing more than a big hole in the ground. Do you think he's okay?"

"Calm down, Nathaniel," replies a short dark haired woman. "He already told you what was going down. If he doesn't call by the end of the week, we head to L.A. and see what we can learn. Okay?"

"Okay," responds the wereleopard ruefully, though he clearly didn't like the idea.

The Scoobies piled into the Hyperion after making sure their wounded were settled at the hospital. Faith, much as she wanted to stay with Robin, had to go with the others as she was still a fugitive.

"Is everyone here?" demands Angel.

"Everyone who's not currently in the hospital," says Willow. "Got enough rooms for us all?"

"You know that I do. Let's get you all settled in. I've got rooms for each of you on the third floor," continues the vamp. He turns to the Summers sisters. "I wasn't sure if you wanted separate rooms, or to bunk together..." he began.

"Separate," was the unified reply.

"Okay. Girls are on the western side, Giles, Andrew and Xander are on the eastern side with Gunn and myself. That way we don't have any problems with the bathroom and such. The kitchen has been fully stocked and cleaned up, so if you want to use it, go ahead. We had to get things cleaned up when the whole Jasmine debacle started."

"That reminds me," interrupted Giles. "How is Cordelia doing?"

"Not good. She's in a coma and we don't know if she's gonna pull out of it. None of the information at Wolfram and Hart is helping."

"Wow. If they don't have the info, then we more than likely won't," input Willow. "I'll still give her a magickal looksie after I've recharged the mystical batteries. The empowerment spell took a lot out of me."

"Thanks, again Willow. It seems you're always helping us with the major mojo stuff."

"No prob, Bob. I know Wesley tries his best, but he's still not up there with me. I intend to remedy that. Giles, Xander, Wesley, and Andrew are all gonna be expanding their skill base. Hopefully, if we have any more crises like the ones we recently had, we'll be much better prepared."

"Good idea, Willow," said Wesley. "I realize that I'm not anywhere near your magickal bracket, and Giles is ahead of me, but we can always improve."

"Agreed," responded Giles. "Xander?" The group looked around, but the one-eyed carpenter was nowhere in sight.
