Chapter 7
Time for a Fight

Kim finally came downstairs at 11:30 that morning. The first thing she noticed was that it way too quiet in the hotel. She wondered where the wannabes were. Kim shook her head and headed toward where she heard Cordelia's voice. She was talking to Angel, Buffy, Faith, Wesley, and Giles in the office. They were trying to figure out the prophecy by throwing ideas at each other.

Kim walked up to the open door and leaned against the door jam. Only Angel noticed her standing there. He smiled when he saw her. Kim smiled at everyone behind their backs. They just reminded her of Zordon, Alpha, Billy, and Adam brainstorming on the next evil move that was happening at the time.

“I hate to interrupt you guys, but where is everyone?”

“Cordelia sent the minis shopping, Fred and Willow went to get lunch, and Xander and Dawn are talking to your friends outside.” Faith told her quickly.

“How long ago did the wannabes leave?” Everyone grinned at Kim's description of the mini-slayers.

“About 2 hours ago. They should be back soon.” Cordelia said to her.

“Can you hold off lunch for awhile?”

“Sure, why?” Giles asked her.

“You'll see. Just send the wannabes down to the basement when they get back. They're in for a surprise.” Kim left all of them staring at her.

Since she had already put her work out clothes on before coming downstairs, she decided to head to the basement. She knew the wannabes would forget about lunch. If they had a chance to fight her. Kim decided to stretch while she waited for the wannabes to come back. She tarted with the Kata she did every morning, and then she went into her floor routine that she had won a gold metal for. As she finished, she heard the wannabes come in the doors.

Kim sat down on the mat and began to meditate. She knew that it would be a few minutes before the wannabes would be down for the fight of their lives. While meditating, she felt Angel come down and watch her. Kim just continued to meditate and to clear her mind.

“What's up Angel?” Kim asked without opening her eyes.

“The wannabes are changing to fight you.”

“I figured that. Are you sure you don't want to join the fight?”

“I'm sure, but you'll want to watch out for Kennedy though.”

“I know. She wants to beat me at any cost because I made her look stupid. Unfortunately for her, she'll never get the chance. She is going down very painfully within the first few minutes. She's also talked one of the others into helping her cheat. It won't work though.”

“How did you know?”
“Because I met her type before. She's nothing but a spoiled little brat. She's got to have everything her way, but when it doesn't go her way, she'll find a way to cheat.”

“So what are you planning to do about it?” Kim opened her eyes and turned to look at him. The smirk on her face was enough to get him to feel sorry for Kennedy.

“You'll have to wait and see.” Angel watched as she gracefully stood at the sound of people coming downstairs. The ones that were running were the wannabes while the Scooby Gang and AI Team came at a much slower pace.

Kim watched as the wannabes came down the stairs. Half of them were dressed in workout clothes while the other half were still in their clothes while the other half were still in their clothes from shopping. Kim stood in the middle of the mat waiting for her first opponent. She knew that Kennedy would be last, but that still left four of the wannabes that wanted to try her fighting skills. Everyone surrounded the mat. Finally one of the wannabes stepped forward to meet her.

Kim had to admit that the wannabes had some skills, but Kim's skills were better. She had the first four wannabes out in five minutes. Now it was Kennedy's turn. Kim stood in the middle of the mat while Kennedy seemed to be bouncing around the mat. She knew that Kennedy was trying to distract her from her partner in crime. Kim waited until the last second and then side-stepped the wannabe coming up behind her. The wannabe ran straight into Kennedy. Kim watched as both crashed to the floor.

Kim continued to smirk as Kennedy pulled herself out from underneath her friend. Kennedy looked angry. Kim waited for Kennedy to attack her. Kim didn't have to wait long. Kennedy ran at Kim. Kim stepped to the side and grabbed her arm and threw her to the ground. Kim twisted her arm behind her. Kim tried to get Kennedy to give up the fight, but Kennedy didn't want to give up. Kim just let her go and got into a fighting stance.

Kim blocked every punch and kick that Kennedy threw at her. Kim knew that Kennedy was getting angrier with every move she blocked. Kim was just getting bored with the fight. She noticed that the AI Team was also getting bored, where as the Scooby Gang was watching her in fascinating. Kim decided to end this now. With a few well placed punches and kicks, Kennedy was laying on the ground in pain. Kim stepped over Kennedy and went over to Cordelia. They hooded arms and went up stairs so Kim could shower, even though she hardly worked up a sweat.
