She was blushing again, and this time it was not because of those damn twins, although her situation was mainly their fault. This time it was because the person she‘d had her eye on for a while was standing in her doorway and gazing quizzically at the walls of her room. Why? Because the walls were covered in posters of him.

Why were the walls covered in said posters? That was where the twins came in.

She hadn’t seen it coming. She really should have. After all, there had been a suspicious absence of pranks that month, and realisation that they were planning something should have been quick to come. She should never have forgotten that they were always up to something, no matter how they widened their sea-green eyes, no matter how they fluttered their eyelashes, no matter how they looked down at their feet and shuffled them, no matter how innocent their smiles were, no matter how they slung their arms over her shoulders and treated her to butterbeer and firewhiskey. She. Should. Have. Known.

Buffy smiled, tentatively and nervously, at Oliver, “Howdy.”

Oliver Wood grinned widely back, slung an arm around her shoulders and led her out into the corridor, closing her bedroom door with his booted foot.

“You absolutely must see my room. They’ve turned it into a bloody shrine.”
