Meeting the Dragon
Just so everyone knows-I don't care if it's not canon or if you don't like it. I like it, I'm wrting it my way. If you have ideas or constructive criticism or just wanna tell me you like it, then please review. :)
Dawn walked in and saw a boy with white-blond hair and silver-blue eyes that reminded her of Spike, on a stand while an older woman fussed about him, tailoring his robes to perfection.
“Hello,” she said, hoping to make friends before school started.
“What do you want,” he asked with a sneer on his face.
“My name’s Dawn, what’s yours,” she tried again, ignoring his rudeness.
“Draco, Draco Malfoy,” he smirked.
“Dragon,” she said, raising an eyebrow.
His mouth dropped in surprise, “You speak Latin?”
“Yeah, and Ancient Sumerian, French, Pig Latin, German, Japanese…everything…why?”
“No one I know-beside’s myself-can speak every language. It’s nice to meet someone else with a thirst for knowledge.”
“Cool-so you’re going to Hogwart’s?”
“Yes…why do you want to know?”
“I’m going as well.”
“Ah…I’m going there later today-father,” he sneered, “insists upon it.”
“Oh, you must be going with Dumbledore and me in a bit. I have to go to learn about the wizarding world-I just found out I was a witch a few days ago.”
“You’re a mudblood?!”
Draco was shocked- she was so smart and he could feel her magical aura-it was very powerful.
“Hey, watch it- I know what that means-dirty blood-I’ll have you know my great, great grandmother was a witch, my friend is a Wicca, and my sister is the vampire slayer!”
“Oops,” she thought.
“Whoa…,” he trailed off.
“There you, dear, all set,” Madam Malkin said.
Draco hopped off the platform and held out his hand to Dawn, “Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
Dawn shook his hand, “You too-just don’t tell anyone about me-I hate being known as the slayers kid sister.”
“You have my word.”
Dawn got on the platform and let Madam Malkin do her thing. “So Dumbledore is going to meet us here in about 10 minutes to take us back to the Cauldron and portkey us to some town near Hogwart’s.”
They chatted for a bit until Dumbledore came in with a floating trunk and a cage in his hand. “Ah, Dawn-I see you’ve met Mr. Malfoy.”
“Professor, can you call me Draco? Mr. Malfoy is my father.” Draco questioned.
“Of course, Draco.”
Madam Malkin finished and Dawn paid.
“Dawn, I bought you an owl to keep in touch with your family,” Dumbledore said.
The owl was a beautiful black color with large eyes. They were silver around the outside with blue on the inside.
“Thank you soooooo much, professor!!!,” Dawn squealed, “She’s beautiful.”
“What shall you name her?” Draco asked.
“Hmm…I’ll name her…Midnight-cause of her eyes.”
“That’s a wonderful name, Dawn.” Dumbledore commented. “Children, we best be off-we can chat at a later time.”
“Ok.” Dawn and Draco chorused.
