Title: Yesterdays Future
Summary: Twins travel to the past to save their dad and to stop their father from becoming the greatest evil the world has ever seen.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. No copyright infringement is intended.
Pairing: Xander/Sam later chapters
Timeline: This is totally AU from season 6 on and SPN from season 1. I'm going to be screwing with timelines and dates and events, just everything so bear with me. (Instead of Willow being the witch, it was Xander.) Don't know if I'm using that yet, but I might. Mostly everything is going to take place in the past with flashbacks or flashforwards, whatever, from the future.
a/n: This idea was bugging the crap out of me so I had to write it down. I told myself no more WIP's but look.God, look at this place.
Sineya thought as she walked back to F.A.E. with her twin brother Jesse.
Their father had done this. Turned the world into a dark place. The sun never shone anymore and demons ran loose in the streets.
It was a dark and desolate place. One where humans lived in fear and Champions were hunted. They had gotten away from their father, running a resistance to the stop the never ending madness.
They had been fighting Him for a little under ten years and they were still losing the war. For the past three years they and F.A.E. had been researching for a way to change all this. Even at the cost of their lives.
Chris had found a way that would send them back to the past. A way to change the future. One that was very risky. It was the only shot they had. They took it.
"Hey." Chris greeted as they entered the magically cloaked compound. "Did you get everything you need for the spell?"
"Yeah." Jesse answered nervously.
He was worried that things wouldn't go right. That somehow it would all go wrong and they would end up making the future worse than it already was.
Tonight they were going 25 years into the past.
Everyone gathered around. A few witches, hunters and a Key watched as the twins set up the spell.
They were in a large room, sitting in the center of a pentagram, it's points adorned with candles.
Sineya looked into her brothers eyes seeing how nervous and afraid he was.
"Hey little bro." She said, smirking at him. "Every things gonna be alright."
"Little bro?" He asked, scowling at her. "You're only two minutes older than me!"
"I know." She laughed. "But it got your mind off whatever it was you were thinking of right?"
"Yeah..." He sighed. "We ready?" He asked and when she nodded call out. "Dawn."
"I here." Dawn answered, approaching them with a knife held in her hand. "Whenever you're ready."
What they were about to attempt had never been done. Stitching together different spells, different magics.
"It's all you Jess." Sineya said as she grabbed onto her brothers hand with her own.
Jesse closed his eyes and centered himself. Keeping his emotions in check so that nothing could go wrong with the spell. He gathered his power and opened his pure white eyes.
His voice grew louder as he chanted, echoing through the room.In this night and in this hour,
We call upon the ancient power.
To right the wrongs our father's done,
To unweave the threads Fate has spun.
Hear these words, hear the rhyme,
Take us to another place and time.
Blood to blood, we use this Key,
Dawn slit her palm open approaching the wall. Rubbing her bleeding palm over the wall, drawing a large rectangle made of blood. The twins stood and did the same as Jesse finished the last line of the spell.Blood to blood, return us to thee.
The blood flared bright red, illumination the room in a sickly glow. It faded leaving a glowing vortex inside their lines.
"Hurry!" Dawn gasped, the twins Turning to see her on her knees. "I don't know how long I can keep it open."
Looking at each other, the twins twined their hands together and took a breath before stepping into the portal.
"Please let this work." Dawn said as she closed the door, a single tear running down her wrinkled cheek.
"We need to figure out what time we're in." Jesse said as they stepped out of the portal.
"And where." Sineya added, looking around.
The sun was shining brightly in a clear blue sky. People walking around. Stores. Cars. Everyone seemed so... alive? Carefree? This was the life that they had missed out for 25 years.
"Here." Jesse called out, holding a newspaper. "It's 2001. A year before father changed." He paused, looking into his sisters eyes. "And we're on the hellmouth."
"So this is where father lived before... you're telling me we only have a year to prevent everything?" She asked. "Are dad and father even together yet?"
"I really don't know." He answered, sighing. "What was the name of that man Dawn told us to find? The one that would help us?"
"Giles." She answered. "Rupert Giles."
"Do you think this is a good idea." Jesse asked as they approached the apartment door. "I mean we don't even know this guy. He's not even alive in our time. How can we trust him?"
"There's no other way Jess." She answered as she knocked on the door. "And Dawn trusts him."
"Yes?" Giles asked as he answered the door.
"Are you Rupert Giles?" She asked, moving to stand a little in front of her brother, blocking him from this stranger.
Giles looked at the strangers standing on his doorstep. The man stood a little taller than six feet. Shaggy dark chocolate waves falling over his shaggy eyebrows and moss green eyes. A straight nose and cupid bow lips. Broad shoulders and a trim waist. Dressed in what the others would call gothic.
The woman was about an inch or two shorter. Straight light brown hair pulled into a ponytail. Arched eyebrows over chocolate colored eyes. Straight nose and fuller lips. Dressed the same as the man.
"Yes." Giles answered breathlessly as he took in the similarities between these two and two others he knew.
"We need your help." Sineya said, breaking into his thoughts.
"With what?" Giles asked skeptically, caught off guard by her statement.
"To save the world." Sineya answered, chuckling at the look on Giles' face. Dawn had told her to say that.
"So." Giles said as he sat across from the two. "Who are you?"
"I'm Sineya." She answered, then gestured to her brother. "This is my brother Jesse."
"And you two need help saving the world?" Giles asked doubtfully. "Why?"
"Geez." Sineya huffed, turning to her brother. "Dawn never said he'd be this difficult."
Giles stood, eying her warily. "How do you know that name?"
"We're from the future." Jesse spoke up quietly. "She helped us. We came back to stop a man from turning into the greatest evil the world has ever seen and to stop him from plunging the world into darkness."
"Say I believe you." Giles said as he sat and removed his glasses. "Who would this great evil be?"
They looked at each other then back to Giles, answering together, "Xander Harris."
