I love this show, honestly.
He told the guy that he had cancer so he would go out with him. It was a lie, but hey, it worked with women most of the time. But he felt a little guilty because it was his first time on a gay date, and he lied to get it.
He was waiting for Xander to pick him up as he thought about his lie to get the date. He had planned on milking it enough to have sex, but since his consciousness got to him, he decided against doing it.
On the first knock, he raced to open the door. It wasn’t often someone wanted to date him.
“I know you lied about the cancer,” Xander smirked as he shrugged, “But I’m here anyway.”
“Good, uh, come in,” Charlie spoke. Before Xander could even step over the threshold, he heard the voices. His friends were coming and they hated coming to his “shit hole” of an apartment, so they had to be coming to see Xander. Reaching out at Xander’s collar, Charlie yanked him inside the room and slammed the door.
“I so didn’t want to get attacked tonight,” Charlie heard him speak. Turning to ask what he was talking about, he saw Xander reaching into his coat pocket.
“I’m not trying to hurt you, I’m just hiding you from my friends,” he explained. “I don’t want them to meet you just yet.”
“Oh,” Xander stopped his search. “That bad?”
The knocking on the door answered his question. “Let’s see the gay date, Charlie!”
“Dennis, you can’t just go around yelling that!” a female voice screamed.
“They prefer homosexual,” a third, male voice added. “Let’s see the homosexual date, Charlie!”
“I have a plan,” Charlie snapped his fingers as he smiled. The one thing he was good at? Planning numerous things for one single outcome. “How do you feel about putting on a show?”
Xander wasn’t sure if he liked the look on the Charlie's face, but decided to go for it. Buffy and Willow did expect some juicy gossip eventually.
Xander didn’t regret his decision to put on the show. He had followed Charlie through his apartment, after hearing Charlie tell his friends he’d let them in and stood in his bedroom. He was told to strip down and get in the bed. He quickly put it together that they were going to shock Charlie’s friends.
He didn’t anticipate Charlie getting in after unlocking the door and running back to the room. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they both weren’t very naked. His friends really did get a shock when Charlie pulled Xander on top of him, sans comforter to show his behind.
“Hey guys,” Charlie had waved. “You, uh, wanna see the gay sex?”
Dennis ran, with Dee right behind him. Mac, on the other hand, hesitated. A few seconds later, Dennis pulled him out of the room without even looking at Charlie and Xander.
After the three had left, the two decided to continue putting on the show… Just, without an audience.
