The First Rule

Harry and Bellatrix find out that the Cruciatius Curse has many ways to cause mayhem. Crossover with Fight Club.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or Fight Club. The basis for this scene was borrowed from both the novel and the film of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Note: This is what happens when you watch Fight Club too often, folks.

"Crucio!" Harry screamed, turning his wand on Bellatrix in a fury.

The spell hit her with such force that she fell to the ground. However, the intense pain usually associated with the Cruciatus Curse never came. Instead, she felt her mind twist and alter as though it were clay being slightly remolded to create a new sculpture.

"Hello, Tyler," she breathed, seeing the man who was simultaneously the love of her life and the bane of her existence walk up from around a corner. He pulled her to him for a moment, pressing his lips savagely against hers. When he let her go, he glanced at Harry briefly, appraising him.

"He forgot the first rule," he said after a moment, nodding. "Have they figured out that you're faking yet?"

"Of course not, they're too busy killing random people. Don't get me wrong, though, this is still much better than any of those half-assed groups we used to go to. Why don't you come, anyway?" she asked, ignoring the bewildered young wizard standing across the room from her.

There was a brief chorus of other voices from behind her. "The first rule of Project May—"

"I know, I know," she said irritably, cutting them off.

"You get back to this... stimulating exchange," he said, kissing her again. "I'll be around." He left, turning a corner in a manner that would leave anyone observing unsure if he walked out of sight or simply disappeared.

She turned back to Harry, who remembered his anger now that his opponent had stopped talking to thin air. "You forgot the first rule, boy," she taunted. "You have to mean it! Pain is universal, but anger is a very personal thing. You've seen mine; now I want to see yours."

She turned her wand on him before he could blink, and something inside of him changed.
