Summary: Buffy and Harry wait for Clark at the bar. Faith puts in an appearance and Clark goes a little OoC
“Are you sure he’s going to be here, Buffy?” Harry asked. After Buffy and Clark became fast friends, she had invited him to meet the rest of her friends, Harry Potter being one of them. After learning about the many people in the world that help to defeat evil, a place was needed for all of them to come together and relax. Thus, Champion’s Bar was made.
She turned toward him and patted him on the back. “Don’t worry, he’ll be here.” She took no pity on the boy, even if he was a little drunk.
“Do you have to hit so hard?” Harry asked with his head on the table.
“If you stayed away from the Fire-Whiskey, you wouldn’t be asking that,” she replied smartly.
“They wanted to celebrate Voldemort’s defeat,” he said, “who was I to stop them?”
“That excuse only works for so long.” This was about the fifth time he had used the excuse, as Voldemort was defeated a few years ago.
“Are you sure he was marked? You know you can be off sometimes,” Harry smirked. The last time Buffy had thought she found a champion, it turned out to be a big mix-up.
“That was like, two times! Anyway, I’m sure. He’s too powerful not to be marked.”
“Is that why he isn’t here? Only those marked can find this place,” Harry said. He thought for a moment and smiled. “Unless, of course, you gave him the wrong directions.”
Buffy groaned and slammed her head on the table, “I always do this!”
“Buffy!” a man yelled.
She whipped her head around began smiling. “Clark, you made it!”
“Yea, I had a little trouble finding the place, but I’m here.”
Buffy turned toward Harry with a triumphant look in her eyes. “See, I told you he was a champion.”
Buffy walked over to Clark, Harry in tow. She threw her arms around Clark in crushing hug, but he stood firm.
“Clark Kent, meet Harry Potter. Harry Potter, meet Clark Kent.”
The two shook hands and stood in an uncomfortable silence.
“Well, since you two have so much to talk about, I’m going to get a drink!” Buffy yelled above the music. She left the two standing, Harry’s eyes following Buffy to the bar.
“Are you two dating?” Clark asked with a twinge of jealousy in his voice.
“Me and Buffy? No, I’m with someone else, Ginny Weasley,” Harry nodded.
“She tells me you’re a wizard, or something like that?” Clark spoke again.
“Lets not talk about that now,” Harry made a sweeping gesture with his hands. “I’d rather not be reminded of why my head hurts so much.”
End So, Harry and Clark meet. It’s officially a love triangle, though neither man wants to admit they’re crushing on Buffy.
