Blue eyes drew him in; promising everything he’d never known he wanted. All focus was on him; no one else was present to distract her. Her thrall felt similar to Asher’s, but the implied threat lurking behind her serene façade made him shiver. She hadn’t even tasted him, but Nathaniel knew he’d stay with her forever if asked.

“Such a pretty, pretty kitty. So delightfully broken and needy.”

‘I wonder if Anita noticed I’m gone?’ A flash of bitterness at the thought and he moaned when the grip in his hair tightened.
