Chapter Two (or Chap. 1, if you like)
“Who are they, and what are they doing on my treasure?” Jack Sparrow demanded.
“Whoever they are, their clothes are rather…odd,” Elisabeth said cautiously. “See, that one with the brown hair—she’s barely more than a child!”
“We have to go, they’ll leave without us—“
“If you don’t mind, I’m off to my ship.” Jack Sparrow said.
Will turned to Elisabeth. “What are we going to tell him?” he whispered.
“The truth.” Elisabeth said with a sigh, carefully stepping over Barbossa’s body to kneel beside Dawn. “And don’t blame me if he kills us, the soldiers on that ship-she waved over to the cave exit-and everyone on the Pearl.” She finished, sighing again.
“Jack—“ Will said. “They did what they thought was right. And you did say ‘Stick to the code,’ after all…” He was interrupted by Buffy waking up.
“Where are we? Who’re you?” Then she saw who he was and blank astonishment reined over her features. “Omigod! You’re Orlando Bloom! How in the world?”
“Who? And, pardon my bluntness, but that is Will Turner, and you are…” the guy with a lot of eyeliner, things in his hair, and really weird clothes asked.
“B-buffy Summers.” She said tentatively. “That’s Willow Rosenberg, Xander Harris, and Tara Maclay.”
“Hey! Don’t forget about me! I’m Dawn Summers. She’s my annoying big sister.” Dawn exclaimed, pointing to Buffy. “Who’re you?” She asked a very pretty woman who was kneeling over her.
“I am Elisabeth Swann, the Governor’s daughter. Will over there is a blacksmith, and Jack…”
“…is a pirate, captain of the escaped Black Pearl, feared throughout all waters. Savvy?”
“Uh…yeah, I guess.” Willow said. “Although I might ask where exactly we are.”
“The Caribbean, mate.” He answered.
“Right. Year?” but before her question was answered, someone called into the cave.
“Miss Swann? The Commodore would like you back at the ship…” a man’s voice called.
“I am coming…I’m just, er, waiting for Will.” She answered.
“I’ll be waiting with men at a rowboat outside.” The voice faded away until only echoes were left.
“So…” Tara asked the question, never taking her eyes off Will and Elisabeth. “Are we coming with you?”
“Well, it would be acceptable…or not…” Will said at the look on Elisabeth’s face.
“Oh well, just introduce them and their winning charms will surely get them a night’s stay.” Jack said gallantly, helping Willow up with one hand. “And then I’ll get my ship back.”
The eight walked slowly towards the entrance, Buffy at the back with Xander, Jack Sparrow trying to talk to Willow, who was keeping an eye on Dawn, who was chatting animatedly to Elisabeth. Tara moved over to walk beside Will.
“Do I know you?” she asked him, staring at his face.
“No, I’ve never seen you before. Why?”
Tara whispered, “Well, I look so much like you, and Elisabeth, and I think I’ve dreamed your face.”
