This story is No. 7 in the series "Nope, Never Gonna Happen.". You may wish to read the series introduction and the preceeding stories first.

Summary: Psh, like Wolfram & Heart would really stick him in some white-bread, all-American, NORMAL family! Those tricksy lawyers would be far more likely to stick him someplace nice and strange.

Crossing: Lord of the Rings

"They are coming."

"I know."

"There are Wraiths behind them."

She shifted restlessly, "I know."

A sigh, "Glorfindel says you may borrow Asfaloth."

She looked up at that, surprise and gratitude pouring from her soft blue eyes in almost tangible waves. Arwen studied her twin as he stared determinedly out the window at the picturesque view she had just been studying. Like her he saw none of the beauty of Rivendell, his mind was far away and his countenance was clearly troubled with dark thoughts.

"I will return," she reassured him.

His expression was mildly amused, yet his easy tone was belied by the fierce look in his eyes - so like her own, "You had better, else the Ranger will suffer for it!"

Quietly, she stood and crossed to him, laying a soothing kiss against his cheek, "All will be well, my brother. Now go, inform ada that he must prepare the healer's hall."

Connor waited until she had left the room before smiling wryly, "And who shall be using those beds when I tell him? Him or me?"
