“Why are you doing this?” Dawn whimpered as she strained against the cuffs that held her. She fought back the tears that threatened to fall, she really didn’t understand what had happened, only that she had met Chase and then the next thing she knew, she was chained up.

And Willow was dead.

“I figure it works. If I can get the Slayer’s power, then I’ll be unstoppable. It’s my turn, and I need power so I don’t turn out like my Father. I refuse to be weak.” Chase replied. “As soon as she comes here for you, then I’ll take her power and leave you on your merry way.”

“I still don’t get why.”

Chase merely smiled, “You see, I have to repay a few friends of mine. They thought they killed me, and well I’m going to pay them a visit. I can’t do that until I gather enough power. The redhead was just the start.”

“You killed Willow,” Dawn cried.

“Yeah, well she got in the way.” Chase said as he knelt in front of her, “Now, tell me about this sister of yours…”
