Spoilers: House 97 seconds Buffy Season five and six
Time frame: House 97 seconds Buffy post season 7 (no comic books)
Disclaimer: If only I could own House an Buffy then I could them reenact this scene for real, but since I don't I'll have to settle for imagining it.
A/N: This story was inspired by BuffyCharmed
challenge House Welcoming
. that had House and Buffy discussing Heaven although I did change up the rest of it. Also ImmortalBeloved
story It Will Be All Right
inspired the setting.
"So, heaven or hell?"
House opened his eyes and saw the Slayer that had saved him from a vampire. "Huh? Hey what are you doing here?"
"You really think that you can stick a knife in an electrical socket and Wilson wouldn't call me?" asked Buffy mildly surprised.
"It's not what you think."
"Some guy said that being dead was the best high ever. Some mention of heaven was made and then you decided to see for yourself if there was a heaven and how good the high was," stated Buffy with a smirk.
"I guess it's exactly what you think," responded a disappointed House.
"So, heaven or hell?"
"Nothing. Like I've said before. This life is not some big test to find out where we get to go. This is it."
Buffy looked down at the man that she had been sleeping with for over a year, "You really believe that don't you?" Buffy asked sadly.
"I've just died to prove it," pointed out House.
"I've been to heaven," Buffy stated firmly.
"I think the sex is good too, but I don't think I'd call it heaven."
Buffy rolled her eyes. "No, what I mean is I died and then went to heaven where I was happy. And then I was alive again and was not all that happy, so I going to go with heaven," added an annoyed Buffy.
"Are you sure you didn't just wake up after taking really good drugs?" Buffy just stared at House. "You're telling the truth aren't you?" asked House seriously.
Buffy looked him directly in his eyes and answered, "Yeah."
"But I just died and saw nothing," argued House returning her eye contact.
Buffy broke eye contact shrugs and replied, "I don't know what to tell you."
"I have to work," stated House, closing himself off.
"I'll stop by your place when I'm done patrolling tonight."
"Fine," agreed House.
