And when I’m gone you won’t remember…



The last of the images flickered through her mind as she made the reverse journey she had eight long hours ago. It had been tempting, to wander those worlds that she saw. It would have been so easy to take that handsome man’s hand and let him sweep her out into her own adventure.



But that was not her fate. She was the one who could see them all, hear them all and feel them sink into her soul. She could not travel with them. She was destined to only ever slip through the worlds, telling their stories to those that lacked her gift. A smile flickered over her lips. She was chosen.
