Don still had the safety off and the gun pointed in Methos’ direction. He was still glaring, but the gun was lowered and no longer pointing at his head.

So Methos grinned cheerfully. “Hi Don.”

“Adam.”

“I see you still haven’t left your first life behind.”

“My family needed me.”

“You should have stayed dead in New Mexico.”

“I am not going to waste the time they have on earth elsewhere.”

“You should at least get out of the FBI.”

“If I’m going to live forever, I’m going to enjoy my life doing what I love, not just survive it.”

Methos had no response. He eyed the man. “You’re not carrying your sword.”

“It’s in my car.”

“Inaccessible.”

“If they’re honorable, they’ll wait. If not, I shoot them.”

“And me?” Methos taunted.

“Considering shooting on general principle.”

“Good-bye, Don.”

“You’re not welcome back.”

“See you in a century.”

“Good-bye, Teacher.”
