Faith could feel the eyes on her as she danced in the center of the room at the Latin Dance Club she had found. She was sweaty and her muscles were loose as she moved from partner to partner, swinging her hips and moving her feet. Robin had left her for another woman. Another slayer, one more biddable and less violent. So Faith had done what she was good at and run. Taken off for parts unknown to cut a path of destruction that would help her get over the pain in her heart. Only she didn't need it. She had found that she wasn't all that upset after the first 50 miles. She hadn't needed violence or meaningless sex. She was still taking out demons and vampires where she could, but she was finding that she was enjoying herself on the road.

She switched to her next partner, loving the eyes she could feel mentally undressing her, wishing she would pick them next, touch them on their hips. She reveled in it, loving the power that it gave her. She smiled up into the face of the one she was dancing with, his hat at a rakish angle, his face just scruffy enough to be considered hot, his bright eyes sparkling. They moved well together. He seemed to appreciate the short black skirt and short black top that hid nothing. Neither of them payed any attention to the vampires that started to surround them. Their hips touched, his hand was around her waist and hers was around his neck, the two of them entranced by the music.

Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, that could save me from hell,
She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
how the devil himself could be pulled out of me,
There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with there hands,
And we sang…

At least until the screaming started. She pulled him down and pressed her lips against his as she brought her other hand up, her fingers encasing an oak stake that slammed into the heart of the vampire behind him. He lifted his head up and spun her out before pulling a gun from the small of his back and shooting another vampire in the head with a shell that was obviously UV. Faith spun back in her back pressed against his front. She leaned deeper into him to scissor up a leg and slam her heel into a waiting Vampires chin. The lights flashed overhead as the music continued to thrum through them, giving them a rhythm as they laughed and smiled and filled the room with dust. He dipped her further still and shot another vamp as it took the place of the last. She popped back up and trailed a hand down his chest, a small smile gracing her lips. she grabbed his belt buckle tight and tugged him against her just as a nasty looking knife sliced where the back of his head had been.

"You are a distraction," He groaned as he looked deep into her eyes and his arm raised to shoot another vamp dead center in the forehead without looking. She gave a throaty laugh and swiveled her hips in time to the music, her smile growing wider as his gun lifted again to shoot something coming up behind her.

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices rang like the angels sing,
And singing…
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,

Abby frowned as she looked at the screens in front of her, King was bringing someone back with him ... someone in very little clothing who couldn't seem to keep her hands to herself. She couldn't figure out whether to just walk out and shoot him or to laugh. She was falling on the side of violence when Blade came in, she had missed him while she was staring at King.

"What's going on?" She asked the quiet man. Blade shook his head, an exasperated look on his face. He and King had gone to a dance club that was supposed to get hit by a vamp gang tonight. King liked to dance, so he was the obvious undercover. Blade claimed he liked the music. Abby had pointed out the clothing on the women that habited the place and then given in to the inevitable. She was to stay home and babysit the pad.

"Slayer at the club, Faith no last name," Blade told her as he remembered watching the two as they danced and killed all at once.

King and Faith's mouths barely parted as they stumbled their way up to his room. Faith pulled back a moment to comment about the ash that had mixed with their sweat and he changed course to the showers, more fun there anyhow. He fumbled with the shower knobs and laughed when she tossed his hat behind her and started to help him disrobe.

Like a piece to the puzzle that falls into place,
You could tell how we felt from the look on our faces,
we was spinning in circles with the moon in our eyes,
No room left to move in between you and I,
We forgot where we were and we lost track of time,
And we sang to the wind as we danced through the night,
And we sang…

The shower was cold when they moved away, the soap and shampoo having made for slippery fun and the two having laughed and kissed their way through a spectacular display of maneuverability and physical satisfaction. Faith wrapped a towel around herself and smirked just a little. King grinned widely.

"Is there something you needed?" He asked with a grin. Faith smirked wider.

"I was gonna say food, but maybe we should make a pit stop at your bedroom first," She told him, dropping her towel and sauntering forward. King shook his head and sighed, grabbing hold of her as she wrapped her lean legs around his waist running to his room and slamming the door behind him.

"You are going to be the death of me," He told her as his mouth descended on her breasts. She laughed loudly and bit him on the shoulder. They didn't make it to the bed, but somehow had a pile of sheets when they had finished round two. Faith wrapped one around herself and king pulled on a pair of sweat pants.

"Food?" She asked with wide innocent eyes and a starving tone. King laughed and snagged her hand, pulling her through the halls to the kitchen and sitting her down at the table.

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices rang like the angels sing,
And singing…
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
and we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,

"I'm not sure you met properly last night, Faith this is Blade, Blade, Faith the Vampire Slayer," King introduced the next morning. Faith shook the dark mans hand and eyeballed him for a moment.

"Daywalker huh?" She asked after a few moments.

"You've heard of me," Blade said, his tone flat as he sat at the table. Faiths lips quirked up the tiniest bit.

"Just before I've killed something, so not a lot," She admitted. He gave a noncommittal grunt and continued his eating.

"And this is Abby, Abby Faith," King introduced as Abby walked through the door. Abby raised an eyebrow and stumbled to the coffee pot. "She speaks, but it takes a few cups," He whispered loudly. Faith shrugged and ate her own breakfast.

"A slayer," Blade started as soon as he finished his food, "one girl in all the world," He started. Faith held up a finger. Blade raised his eyebrows expectantly.

"One of, I think, 732 in the world," She told him before motioning him to continue.

Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, that could save me from hell, She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
how the devil himself could be pulled out of me, There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with there hands,
And we sang…

Faith tugged a laughing King into the club. Blade and Abby staying home for the evening. It was only fitting that it was her 1 year anniversary of being with the crew and they were back at the same club. She hadn't told King where they were going until they got there. He hadn't stopped laughing for the last 3 minutes. He stopped when they got inside though, her low rise capri and the tiny shirt tied between her breasts drawing looks. He wasn't jealous, but he was possessive. Kings arms wrapped around her shoulders as she went out to the dance floor. Hips together, legs entangled, eyes locked. People cleared the way as the two danced, not seeing anything but each other, not hearing anything but the music. At least until the screaming started.

"Seriously, where the hell do you hide this stuff?" King demanded with a smile as she pulled a gun from her back and he did the same. She just smiled as he twirled her out and she shot a vampire in the center of the forehead. She twirled back and dropped to the floor, sliding under his legs to shoot the vamp behind him as he shot the three in front of him and tugged her forward and up so she could get to her feet. The spun together, shooting and smiling and laughing as the music thrummed through their souls, sweat mixing with ash and both of them anticipating the shower they would need when the night was through.

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices rang like the angels sing,
And singing…
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,
(And the voices rang like the angels sing),
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),
Singing ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),
And we danced on into the night…
