SUMMARY: The Powers That Be made her a Slayer. Granted her the opportunity to the "Chosen One" for her generation. Only she wasn't the "Chosen One" she was one of the "Chosen Two". Determined to be different than Buffy she went down her own path of destruction and mayhem. It paved the way to her direct involvement in the far off future.

The most important thing is that I do not own any of these characters. I just "borrow" them for my own personal amusement and entertainment. NOTES: The story is primarily Faith-centric. It starts out in the present and then jumps to the future so it can connect with the Pitch Black universe. However, this is not a crossover entirely. It is the prologue of sorts for its companion piece "the long road home". I advise reading this fic before reading "the long road home".

Additional Notes: Some of you might recognize this story from when I posted it here years ago. Yes, it is the same story, but I have gone over it to improve the writing, grammar, style, etc. Hopefully I succeeded.
