Father and Son Reunion C

Logan looked at his son and sighed sadly. He was immortal himself and knew the sorrow that came from it. As he watched the reactions of his son's friends and associates he saw that they knew the horror that it was. Many may think that Immortality is a gift, but it is instead a curse. He sighed sadly wondering where his son would settle and knowing that he would settle with him. As much as he loved the people he worked with at Xavier's he needed to be with his son to make up for the time he had lost over the years.

When he heard that their lost would be returned he knew that it was in payment for basically enslaving Xander. It was a boon to have their loved ones returned, but it was also a pain added to Xander's. After all he had already watched three of them die once and now that he was immortal he would watch them die again.

"When will your dead and the children arrive?" Logan asked startling the group out of their sorrow.

"When we go to LA in the morning. The Powers said that they would take care of moving our things. We just have to be at the Hyperion by daylight. They haven't decided where I will settle yet. There will be others arriving at the same time and I will be taking them to their loved ones." Xander told him softly.

"When do you get to rest?" Robin asked angrily.

"I don't know, probably never now." Xander said honestly his exhaustion showing.

"I guess we better start towards LA then." Buffy said helplessly. They all nodded.

"I'm going to ride with my Dad." Xander told them and Logan released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. "Faith can you drive my Explorer?" Faith nodded. "Well then, lets get going."

The others agreed and they left the apartment and then Sunnydale for the last time. All that would remain of Sunnydale in their lives were nightmares, scars, and knowledge of the darkness.
