Chapter 1 – Home

Hermione couldn’t take living in England. Her relationship with Ron had not last long. Their constant bickering and argument had destroyed their relationship, choosing not to destroy the friendship they have they decided to go their separate ways. Now she was in a plane heading toward Forks, Washington to go meet up with her Uncle Charlie. She needed a different scenery after the war. Her parent understood her; they wanted their daughter to see the world and this was an opportunity were she could.

Her uncle Charlie live alone in a little town call Forks in Washington. The company would do him some good. However, by moving to the states she made a condition of enrolling in school once again. She didn’t want to spend days at the house along while her uncle went to work. She would be enrolling as a Junior in school. She had also found out that her cousin Bella will be joining her also. Since her mother was moving with her new fiancé to Florida. She was happy with the idea. Going school with her cousin and be around normal people will do her good.

She arrived in the airport and found her uncle and Bella already waiting for her when she got off.

“Bella, Uncle Charlie!” She yelled as she waved to them.

“Hermione!” yelled her cousin as she went running towards her and gave her a hug.

“I haven’t seen you in a long time,” Hermione express as she hugged her cousin back.

Her uncle had joined them by that time.

“How have you been Hermione?” He asked her. Hermione let go of Bella and gave her uncle a hug.

“I have been fine, it’s nice to see you Uncle Charlie,” she said as they pulled apart.

“Nice to see you too,” he responded as he took her bags.

As they got the rest of Hermione’s belonging they headed to Charlie’s home.

“Welcome home girls” Charlie said as they all enter the house.

Hermione and Bella enter the house and looked around their new surrounding.

“There's two rooms upstairs. Take a left and you'll see them. .You could each take a room?" he shrugged. Girls liked that whole being in pairs thing, didn't they?

"The bathroom is first door on your right-”

Charlie suddenly stopped, as he caught a look from Bella.

“Dad, I know were everything is,” Bella responded to her father. Who gave a little breath of impatience.

“Right. .well okay then!"

A little relieved to not have to explain everything, he flashed a quick smile at Hermione, before rubbing his hands together and heading back to the top of the stairs.

"Sorry for ditching you girls. But I have to go to work. You can show Hermione around the house right, Bells?”
“Yes, dad,” Bella answered as she headed upstairs with her belongings, Hermione did the same this as she followed her.

Once they reached upstairs Hermione entered the first room on the left since Bella continued walking to the room down the hall that appeared to be right across of Charlie’s room.

“I guess this must be my room then,” she whispered to herself, as she entered the room.

She looked around her new home. The room contains a bed, book shell, a desk, closet, and chair. That was all she needed. The place her belongings in the floor and walked towards the window in her room. As she looked out side the window she was a forest that was in the back of the house. It looked beautiful. It reminded her of Hogwarts. At that thought she stepped away from the window. She took a big step by moving to the state.

Hermione finished putting her belongings away, she had a few things with her. She didn’t need a lot of things to start a new life.

She walked out of her new room and walked toward her cousin’s room. As she got to the door she saw Bella still unpacking.

“You already unpacked?” Bella asked. Hermione just nodded, while seeing her unpack.

“So what’s there to do in this town?” She asked Bella. She didn’t wish to stay home all-day and think of her memories and the people that she left behind. She wanted to explore the world

“Truthfully, I don’t know much of the town.” Bella answered with a small smile in her face. Hermione knew that her cousin didn’t like going out much. The only place she would go would be to a library or a bookstore. She knew that because that was how she used to be. But that was in the past.

Hermione didn’t know how to make conversation with her cousin she had change so much through the years. Even though she was real happy to see her, she couldn’t truly talk to her about her life. There were to many complications that would just not be logical for her cousin. Like it was often said, seeing is believing and she really didn’t want to pull her cousin into that world she had escaped from.

She went back to her room and sat in her bed leaving Bella to unpack. The rest of the weekend was quiet. Her and Bella talked about school and books; with Hermione leaving details out, the conversation went smoothly. However, the weekend went by fast and soon it was time to go to school. Where both Bella’s and Hermione’s lives would change.
