Forced vacation
Disclaimer: I own naught.

I have never seen… the entire gang transported into a new dimension.
~~~~~"Dawn?
Dawn?" Buffy shouted into the dark.
"Please, Buffy. If she's here, she'll find us."
The Slayer turned and fixed an unholy glare on the man she thought of as her father. "How do
you know? She could be hurt, or dead, or
worse. I should be out there," she gestured to the thick woods that surrounded them, "
looking for her! Not sitting here just – "
"Watching over the rest of us?" the Watcher finished pointedly.
Buffy scowled, kicking at a rock, but her pique didn't prevent her from looking at the others. Xander and Anya were curled up together, the ex-demon as close to the fire they'd managed to get going as possible, with her boyfriend at her back. Willow and Tara were also asleep, both witches recuperating: the one from the massive spell and the other from receiving her sanity back. All four were utterly exhausted from the battle and the unexpected magical backlash from Dawn's jump that had torn them from their own dimension.
Spike was out scouting the woods for Dawn and for whatever danger they might find lurking in this strange place.
He was out there instead of
her because of his heightened sense of smell. "If anyone can recognize Summers' blood, it's me," he'd told her.
He was right, wiggsome, but right.
Buffy's shoulders slumped in defeat. "You're right," she said wearily.
"Of course I am, I'm always right."
The Slayer rolled her eyes, "Don't push your luck." She sighed, "It's late, for us anyways, you should get some sleep. We'll need all the brainpower we can get to figure everything out in the morning."
"Yes, you're right." Giles sighed, "I
do hope we've managed to land someplace with indoor plumbing."
Buffy smiled grimly, "I wouldn't get my hopes up."
El Fin
~~~~~A/N: Here endeth the fic. I tried to make the crossover deliberately vague. All you know is tht they're in the woods somewhere, so really they could be anywhere (or any
when). Might do another one of these. I'm thinking: 10 Costume No-One's Worn. So... what did you think? Like, love, loathe, inspired-me-to-try-something-new? Lemme know!
