"Well, if it ain’t the Winchester boys." Ellen pulled out two glasses from under the counter as she watched Sam and Dean duck into the Roadhouse. "How you boys been doin’?"

They’d already made it to the counter and given her a kiss on the cheek before she noticed that they were trailed by a pair of brunettes. One was dressed like, well, a hooker, and the other looked like a youth group leader.

"Sam, Dean," Ellen pulled out two more glasses and dropped her voice to a whisper as the two women sidled up to the bar, "What exactly are you doing bringing these ladies in here."

"Its cool, Ellen." He gestured at Dawn and Faith. "They know. This is Faith, she’s a slayer. And her Watcher Dawn."

"’Sup." Faith, growing impatient, had taken advantage of Ellen’s distraction and leaned over the counter to get a bottle of whiskey. With Ellen’s gaze back on her, Faith slid back down onto the stool and grinned unapologetically.

"Hey," Dawn smiled and gave a little wave. Ellen raised an eyebrow at Dean.

"Well, we ain’t never had folks from the council out this far. What brings you girls ‘round here."

"We were just sort of wandering around, y’know, making friends and killing stuff," Dawn sighed accepting a beer from a very doubtful looking Ellen. "Don’t worry, I’m legal. Anyway, this one day we end up in a bar and I kicked Dean’s ass in pool-"

"Hey, I let you win, Princess."

"- and then Sam and Faith got all attached, so now we’ve been following around these two for a while, showing them up on every job." She finished her lightning speed explanation and took a swig of beer. She finished, shot Dean a glare, and punched him on the arm. "No you didn’t."

"Ouch, dammit. Hey, is Jo around?"

" She’s somewhere ‘round here. Joanna Beth," Ellen called over her shoulder, "Some people are here I think you might wanna see."

Jo swayed in from the other room, still holding a pool cue in her hand. She grinned at the two brothers.

"The amazin’ Winchesters return."

"Hey Jo," Sam nodded at the blonde and led Faith away to an empty table in the corner of the bar.

"Evenin’ Joanna." Dean leaned against the bar and grinned at her. Jo pushed passed him and went behind the bar with her mother.

"They’ve been runnin’ with some girls from the Watcher’s Council." Ellen nodded towards where Sam and Faith had moved and then at Dawn, who was rolling her eyes at their obviousness.

"You’d think that novelty would’ve worn off by now," she sighed. She looked up at Jo and smiled. "I’m Dawn. And if you’re wondering, I’m not sleeping with Dean." Dean choked on his mouthful of beer.

"I’m Jo and if you’re wonderin’, I don’t blame you."

"Dude, since when was this headquarters for Dean Haters United?"

"Dawn, do you play pool?" Jo ignored Dean and leaned across the counter from Dawn.

"Why, yes I do."

"Would you like to make some money?"

"Always do." Jo walked out from behind the bar and offered her arm to Dawn.

" Double team. Play five games, six if we’re winnin’. Split the cash and get smashed."

Dawn accepted Jo’s arm. "Agreed." The sauntered arm in arm into the next room, grabbing a pair of sticks as they went.

Ellen laughed at Dean’s bewildered face and poured him another drink.

"Well that’s walking trouble if I’ve ever seen it."
