Disclaimer: In the first chapter
With a ‘POP’, a tall man apparated into the trees that surrounded a large house. He started to make his way toward the back of the house, keeping to the shadows, trying not to be seen. He stopped suddenly as laughter spilled out into the night, holding still as a group of men in robes passed his hiding place by.
With relief in his eyes, but his body still tense, he continued to make his way to the back of the house where there was a door that led to his destination. He could still hear sounds from the front of the house where, if a muggle happened to pass by, though unlikely, it would look like a party, a rather extravagant party, but a party none the less.
He ignored the little voice in his head that reminded him that he was technically supposed to be in attendance there instead of sneaking away to do something that, if he were to be caught, just might get him killed. His father and most importantly, their Lord most commonly known as Voldemort or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did not tolerate traitors to the “cause”.
He came to a stop suddenly realizing that while he had been lost in his thoughts, which right now was a bad thing to do, he had arrived at the hidden door. He silently opened it and went down the steps which led to two long hallways, left and right. He started to walk quickly down the left hallway as he knew that his father and Bellatrix were due to visit soon, they never liked to leave their prisoners alone for long, and since he knew exactly who this prisoner was…. Yes, best to hurry.
As he was walking down the hallway, he remembered just how it was that he had been given this mission.
He was standing off to the shadows so he wouldn’t been seen even though he knew that everyone In this room knew he was there. All of the Order was there, well most of them anyways, Fudge was there with a couple of the higher ups from the ministry, and there were three new people, which surprised him since he knew there were supposed to be four.
There was an older man in a suit with glasses, a red-head that looked like she could be related to the Weasleys, and a blond that looked a little worse for wear. He straightened up when he recognized her, Buffy Summers, The Slayer. He looked around for the fourth person that was supposed to be there, a tall brunette, when he remembered a conversation he had heard from his father.
His father had planned an attack at the Ministry when he had heard that the Slayer was supposed to be there, and he had wanted to capture her. The attack had gone bad, when apparently one of the Death Eaters had accidentally killed the Slayer. So, on his father’s orders, they had decided to take the person who was supposed to have more information about the Key than they did, which happened to be the brunette girl he was looking for right now.
A throat cleared, and he looked over at the man who was staring directly at him.
Dumbledore started speaking, “We need you to go to the dungeons at your house and rescue a girl, Dawn Summers.”
At the name Summers, he started. He looked over at Buffy Summers and realized it was her sister. Oh, Fuck, well this made the entire mess worse. Buffy was notorious for being known at getting pissed off when her sister got kidnapped and, more often than not, the kidnappers usually ended up dead. But, he remember what he had heard and opened his mouth to ask her when she interrupted him.
“I have a really hard time staying dead.” She told him with a little shrug.
Huh, well that explained everything, and he could tell that to them it did. All he knew is that when he got to this girl, she would be very happy to know her sister was alive.
He knew exactly how to get Dawn out of his house, so he just told them,
“I can do it.”
Just before the apparated out, he added “I’ll be back soon with Dawn.”
He knew he probably should have stayed to hear the plan, but everyone would have started putting in their opinions, and then Fudge would have gotten pompous, then Buffy would have gotten pissed off. He figured since he knew the best way to get Dawn out of there was to just go and sneak in and sneak out, he just left. He was also most likely going to get yelled at when he got back.
So that was how he came be walking down the hallway of his dungeons heading toward the cell of Dawn Summers. With a quick motion of his wand, he opened the cell door and slipped inside. He heard movement behind him and turned around to see Dawn sitting against the wall, almost braced for a fight. Well, lucky for her, he wasn’t here for a fight. He took out his wand and did a quick silencing charm. The last thing they needed was to be caught.
He quickly looked her over trying to figure out if she was injured but couldn’t really tell. Then she asked him,
“Who are you?”
So he told her, “Draco Malfoy.”
He saw realization in her eyes and almost sighed. Apparently, she liked his father about as much as he did. When she asked him her next question, he took a couple steps to her and hoped his answer would put her at ease.
“OK, Draco Malfoy, what are you doing here?”
“I’m here to get you out of here.”
When a look of surprise, then relief entered her eyes, Draco knew she trusted him enough to get her out of there. So, when she held up her wrists that had the chains on, he concentrated on undoing the magical locks at the same time as ignoring what she was saying because he too had heard the footsteps that were getting closer and knew they had a limited amount of time before Lucius and Bellatrix entered the cell.
With one last flick and a few words, the chains were undone. He pulled her against him and told her to hold on tight, to which she did. Then just as the cell door was about to open, apparated them out. Now, all he had to do was get her back to her sister, go back to the stupid party at his house, and hope that no one would suspect anything. If Lucius and Bellatrix suspected anything, his time as a spy might be coming to an end quicker than originally thought. He just hoped he was still alive when everything, including the war, was done.
A.N. Well, there you have it. The answer to whether or not Buffy actually died. To those that reviewed, thank you. I apologize for taking the story hostage like that, the only excuse that I have is that this is my second story and my first one is for right now on permanent hold. So, I just hope I’m doing a good job. I know there’s not a whole lot of Dawn/Draco action seeing as how it’s Draco’s p.o.v of the meeting, but hopefully there will be more next chapter. Anyways thank you all for the reviews, and I promise that I won’t take the story hostage again. I hope you guys liked this chapter. Another long author’s note. I’m done now.
