AN – Thoughts \\I am thinking.//

She was in trouble. She’d waited too long to go on the offensive and now she was down. Her arms wrenched up so far behind her back that it was a contest which joints would dislocate first – wrists, elbows, shoulders or any combination thereof. Her attacker’s greater weight pinned her to the floor.

With no leverage to throw her attacker off or relieve the intense pain in her arms, she attempted to talk her way out of her current situation. However, the feel of hot breath on her neck silenced her momentarily. Then she felt his free hand on her and complete panic set in. She renewed her bucking and twisting to an even greater degree than before despite the fact that she might be the one to cause her arms to be dislocated. Her pleading also became a babble of words.

It was as she was preparing to scream for help that she was struck in the head. Luckily, it happened when her head was twisted to the side in her flailing, otherwise her nose would have been broken when her head impacted the floor. Unluckily, the double impact stunned her long enough for her head to pulled back up by her hair and a wad of cloth stuffed into her mouth. She hadn’t even noticed that the grip on her arms had gone away for a few moments nor registered the fact that the cloth had been ripped from her own clothing.

Partial awareness only briefly returned after the grip had returned to hold her arms in place. The awareness was brief because of the blinding pain that suddenly flared in her core. Pain that meant only one thing. The one thing that she had secretly feared was the intent of the attack in the first place. She had feared it so much that she had even denied giving it conscious thought though she knew it on an instinctual level.

Now it was happening and her mind narrowed down to a single thought that even the agonizing pain could not wipe out, \\It’s not him!//
