I don't own the X-Men, those belong to Marvel Comics and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Emma Frost was created by Chris Claremont and John Bryne.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was created By Joss Whedon and all the characters with the BTVS TV series are his as well.
The Thundercats were created by Ted Wolf and currently belong to Warner Brothers, at one point in time Marvel comics did do a run of the them in comics form, although DC comics do them now.
“I can't move Chuck” Logan grunted as he tried to move.
“I'm trying Logan, this body's mind isn't as developed yet.” Xavier said as he tried to psychically combat the thing that had taken residence in his former body.
“You really should have considered what would happen if you left your old toys lying around Xavier!” The Shadow King laughed. “I'm going to destroy you and all of your precious children.”
“My sword doesn't like you.” Xander growled.
“What?” The Shadow King said as he turned to look at the man, only to see a glowing blue blade coming for him. There was a jerking sensation and then he was flying backwards.
A dark wraith rose from Xavier's former head. “You can't protect all of them Xavier. One day I will destroy you, and I'll use them to do it..” It said before being banished by the shining light of Xander's sword.
“Well that was fun.” Logan commented once he could move again.
“Whatever that was, it was really evil.” Xander said as he sheathed his sword.
“That was the Shadow King. Something I'd encountered once when I was younger.” Xavier told them as he sat up with Moira's assistance. “Had I known....” Xavier trailed off.
“We were here Chuck.” Logan told him. “Now we just have to clean this up.”
“Any way we can ward against this guy?” Xander asked.
“He is an entity that mainly exists on the astral plane Xander. We may have to speak to Doctor Strange about it. If we were to ward the mansion Cerebro might not function correctly.” Xavier told him.
Logan looked up from where he was holding Xavier's old body's legs. “You gonna help me get this?” Logan asked Xander.
“I got it.” Xander told him as he stripped the body down to a pair of boxer shorts. He grabbed the head and touched the corpse before vanishing for a moment and reappearing.
“Where did you send it?” Xavier asked him.
“About twenty thousand feet above sea level over the Atlantic.” Xander told him. “Once it hits the water it'll be unidentifiable.”
“Good thinking.” Logan said. “I'm going to get drunk. Who's in?”
“I could go for some Strongbow.” Moira said.
“This body hasn't had alcohol yet. Should be amusing.” Xavier grinned as he tried to stand. “Though my coordination is already horrible.”
“It'll take some getting used to.” Moira said. “Who's driving?”
“I'll be the designated driver.” Xander volunteered.
“Good man.” Logan grinned. “If we hurry we can still hit up my favorite bar.”
Seven AM the next morning.
“Never again.” Xander told them as he parked the van.
“Spoil sport.” Logan grunted as he put Moira over his shoulder in fireman's carry.
“Xavier's such a cheap date.” Xander said as he tossed the man onto his shoulder. “Three drinks. Three drinks and he's singing 'Mandy' without a karaoke machine.”
“Think we should have left a note?” Logan asked.
“That would have been a good idea.” Ororo told them as she stared at the group.
“You guys went drinking without me? You assholes!” Sean scolded.
“So how is everybody?” Xander asked as he sat at the dining room table.
“Curious.” Kurt said. “Where did you guys go last night?”
“Logan's favorite bar. I'd tell you where it is, but he'd kill me.” Xander grinned. “Nothing happened last night did it?”
“Just some bad dreams.” Mary Jane said. “Why?”
“Just curious. We left after midnight.” Xander told her.
“SNORKKK....” Xavier said into the tablecloth.
“Shouldn't he be in bed?” Jean asked.
“Nah.” Logan said. “This is what he gets for getting so drunk. Let that be a lesson to you kids, know your limit.”
“But how do we find our limit?” Kitty asked.
“Practice.” Todd said with a laugh.
“So how am I doing?” May asked Cordelia who was looking at the latest readouts.
“Pretty good. You're going to have to go on a heart healthy diet and stick to the supplements I'm giving you okay?” Cordelia told her.
“Are you a doctor?” May asked.
“Not exactly. Xavier's been kind enough to give me the knowledge of a few different doctors including a heart specialist.” Cordelia told her. “I'm just going into my second year of college, but I do know what I'm doing.”
“Oh.” May said softly. “Can I get out of here?”
“Sure. Just be sure to use the elevator.” Cordelia told her as she unhooked May's IV.
The Living Room....
“Hi everybody.” May said as she slowly walked into the living room.
“Aunt May!” Peter said as he flipped down from the hammock he'd made out of webbing.
“Peter.” May said softly. “What's the news on Doom?”
“The President's considering it.” Peter told her with a sigh. “He's in talks with Doom about his programs. The stock prices of the US auto industry have gone down in reaction to people looking forward to imported high efficiency cars. Before this Latveria released less than a hundred cars a year. That's just a drop in the bucket in the world auto market.”
“Can he actually do what he says?” May asked. “Can he really reduce the landfills?”
“I don't doubt it.” Peter told her. “His technology is close to thirty years ahead of the industry standard.”
May nodded. “He'd better be honest about this. He's already a thief, I'd hate to see people calling the man with my husband's face a liar.”
“Are you okay?” Peter asked her.
“No Peter. But I will be. What's the Bugle's reaction to this?” She asked him.
“It's standard Jameson smear.” Peter told her. “I'm quitting the Bugle. I can sell my photos elsewhere for more.”
“Good. That man is too full of hatred to be a real newsman.” May said with a nod. “So what's this I hear about Mary Jane getting some spider powers of her own?”
“I can show you.” Peter told her.
“This I have to see.” May smiled.
The Danger Room...
“Oh my what happened to her?” May said as she watched Mary Jane through the window of the Danger Room's control room.
“She got upgraded.” Xander told her as Mary Jane and Peter were fighting simulations of some of Peter's rogues gallery. Peter was in his costume while Mary Jane was wearing one of Xavier's generic outfits meant as training gear. “Mary Jane possessed dormant spider traits like your family did. She also had a half formed X-Gene. Now she's a spider powered mutant, and loving it apparently.”
“Oh dear. What will her parents say?” May asked.
“Who says they have to know at first?” Xander countered. “You know her folks and her aunt that she's been staying with. What would their reaction be?”
“I see your point. Is she going to be helping Peter?” May asked.
“Up to her, but it looks that way.” Xander told her. “Let's face it, Peter could use the help.”
“I don't see you helping him out too often.” May pointed out.
Xander shrugged. “I don't live in the big city. Proximity's a big thing. I help when I'm there and my attention is needed elsewhere. As it stands Spider-Man is one of the few people out there who is using his abilities openly. He's one of the first. As far as people know, there aren't many super powered people out there. If people knew that their neighbors could have strange and possibly dangerous powers overnight... the public reaction wouldn't be good.”
“Why not?” May asked.
“Power can make monsters out of good people May.” Xander sighed. “People can lose sight of what's important in life when they have power, financial or otherwise. That's why people like you are important. You keep Peter grounded. Not all of us have that. That's part of why this place is here.” Xander told her.
May nodded. “Why are you here?”
“This is my home I guess. I'm here for as long as I'm welcome.” He said before deciding to change the subject.. “Their session's ending.”
“I'll be on my way then.” May told him. “It's been... informative. Don't blame yourself for what Doom did.”
“I'll try.” Xander said softly as the woman left the control room.
Just before noon.....
“Ohh....” Xavier said as he sat up. “Why am I at the table?” he asked.
“Because it's lunch time.” Ororo told him with a smirk. “You really shouldn't be drinking like that.”
“I only had a few.” Xavier protested. “I guess I don't know my tolerance anymore. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go freshen up before I try to eat something.” He stood on shaky legs and walked out of the dining room.
Ororo stared after him and looked from the wheelchair to where he left the room. “I thought...”
“Chuck got himself a new body.” Logan told her as he came into the dining room with a food cart full of various sandwich meats and a pot of stew. “We did the switch last night. He's still a little shaky on the walking again thing.”
“He could have told me.” Storm said softly.
“I think it slipped his mind. I didn't know about the clone until he had me and Xander come down to observe the switch.” Logan told her. “With Fury being here I can understand the need for some secrecy. Especially now that we know Doom did the same thing.” Logan chuckled. “Funny though, great minds thinking alike and all.”
“When you put it that way it does seem a little humorous.” Ororo agreed. “Who's setting the table?”
“Jamie, or one of his duplicates anyways.” Logan told her as a few of the preteen came into the room. “Kid gets around.”
Xander's favorite tree....
“If you keep brooding, I'm going to have Kurt teleport you into the pond again.”Cordelia warned him.
“Hmm?” Xander said as he looked up from his sketchpad.
“That wasn't brooding face it was thinking face?” She asked.
“Yeah.” Xander said as he handed her the sketchpad. “tell me what you think.”
“I think you've been staring at someone else's girlfriend too much.” She joked.
“Funny. Any of them good?” He asked her.
“They all are. Let's go show them to her. You know, you might have a knack for designing costumes.” she grinned.
Xander rolled his eyes. “Don't let that get out. I'll have to design fifteen different ones for all the girls here.”
She punched him in the arm.
“Ten different ones?” He hedged.
“That's more realistic, so probably.” She told him. “Now go show Mary Jane her options.”
“Fine, but I'm not asking my sword to make her the costumes. She can make her own the first time out.” He told her.
“Xander....” Cordelia growled.
“But Peter had to make his own costumes....” Xander protested.
She gave him 'the look'.
“Fine.” Xander sighed.
Mary Jane looked at herself in the trio of mirrors. “I like but it's missing something.” She said as she looked at the red and gold costume. “My hair goes with the red of the costume too well.
“Well we could always include a change of hair color in costume.” Cordelia suggested. “Black maybe?”
“I like it. Look out world, here comes Spider Woman!” Mary Jane grinned.
“Does she have to do the weird poses?” Peter whispered to Xander.
“You're the photographer, you tell me.” Xander answered.
“Well it's official.” Mary Jane announced. “Xander's in charge of designing our costumes from here on out.”
Peter laughed as Xander slammed his head into the dining room table.
“I just can't win.” Xander muttered.
“Think you can take us into the city tomorrow?” Peter asked. “I want to swing by Four Freedoms Plaza tomorrow and see if Richards will give us a batch of unstable molecules so we can treat our costumes.”
“Sure? Why not? Not like I had other things planned.” Xander muttered.
“It's still early in the summer Xander. I would appreciate it if you stayed here while Ororo and Logan go pick up the two other international students that are coming here.”
“We're getting some more?” Theresa asked.
“Yes, Both from South America.” Xavier told her.
“Oh.” Theresa said, a little down that she wasn't getting another Irishman in the house.
Later.... after dinner.
“Man what are you doing?” Todd asked as he found just about everyone sitting in the kitchen while Kurt was mixing up something in a large bowl. Todd recognized what it was. “Oh sweet Brow” was as far as he got before someone slapped a hand over his mouth.
Kurt held up a sign that read /Don't Say Brownies. Theresa has selective hearing and has sniped my last two batches this week./
“Oh.” Todd said. “Can I at least lick the bowl?”
“I wanted to do that.” Jubilee whined.
“Did you call it?” Todd asked.
“No.” Jubilee said petulantly.
“I'll let you have the spoon.” Todd offered.
She thought about it for a moment before agreeing. “Fine.”
“All right.” Todd said as Kurt handed him the bowl and Jubilee the spoon.
Todd began licking out the bowl while the others watched in odd fascination...
The Daily Bugle......
Ben Urich sighed as he typed up his notes from Ben Parker's former coworkers. None of them had a bad thing to say about the man. Hell most of them wished he was still around. It seemed Ben was a patient man with a kind ear that everybody got along with. Well everyone except for the man who shot him anyways.
The next stop would be his old neighborhood, then the Parkers themselves.
