I don't own the X-Men, those belong to Marvel Comics and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Emma Frost was created by Chris Claremont and John Bryne.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was created By Joss Whedon and all the characters with the BTVS TV series are his as well.
The Thundercats were created by Ted Wolf and currently belong to Warner Brothers, at one point in time Marvel comics did do a run of the them in comics form, although DC comics do them now.
Xavier's private quarters.....
“Are you okay Charles?” Moira asked him, concerned.
“No I'm not.” Charles gasped. “Tap dancing still eludes me.”
“You'll get it. Now let's try the shim sham shimmy again.” Moira told him.
Nodding, Xavier stood back up and they began again.
“Well?” Forge asked Anna. “How was it?”
Anna wiped the sweat from her brow with the towel he'd given her. “Who are you again?” she asked him.
“Not funny Anna. Would you buy it?” Forge asked her.
“Buy it? If that thing were attached to a robot, I'd marry it.” Anna grinned. “What else have you got?”
Forge raised a sliding metal drawer showing a rack of various implements.
“When did you make these?” Anna asked him.
“This morning while you were testing the first product.” Forge told her.
“What time is it?” Anna asked.
“It's after two.” He grinned.
“No wonder I'm so thirsty.” Anna laughed.
The Danger Room....
“Good job kid.” Logan said after Tabitha spread out a cluster of her miniature bombs and destroyed the footing of over half the number of opponents causing them to stumble down the artificial cliff side.
“Thanks Mr. L” Tabitha said as Amara used her powers to shoot a blast of flames at the ones who hadn't stumbled.
“You guys are coming along pretty nicely.” Logan said just before ducking a stray blast from Bobby. “Well, most of you anyways.” He said with a bit of a growl.
“Sorry.” Bobby said with a sheepish look on his face.
“Don't be sorry, just work on your aim kid.” Logan told him. “Wouldn't want to hit one of the girls and get them mad at you again do you?”
“No sir.” Bobby said as he shook his head quickly.
“Good.” Logan nodded. “Seems you're getting some sense after all.”
“You ready?” Xander asked Moira as he loaded the van with some of Forge's equipment.
“As I can be with what little equipment I'm bringing. Forge did build an infirmary there right?” Moira asked him.
“It was complete at the time, but since you came here he's upgraded the facilities here, so theirs could use some revamping.” Xander told her.
“He's always improving things.” Moira sighed.
“It's part of his gift.” Xander grinned. “I'll go get him so we can head over to the other place.”
“You do that.” Moira told him, watching him vanish. She shook her head. Now wasn't a time to be getting power envy.
Sanctuary.... South Dakota....
“This place looks the same as we left it.” Forge said as Xander pulled up to the gate.
“That's a good thing.” Xander told him. “I think the people here don't cause half as much damage as we do.”
The gate opened a moment after Xander pulled up, “Guess Caliban knows we're here.” He said as he pulled the van onto the main drive.
“Eric, you aren't looking all that great.” Xander said to the man who called himself Magneto.
“My enhancements are fading Alexander. I am an old man after all.” Eric chuckled softly. “My time is running out.”
“Maybe not.” Moira told him. “Charles and I have been working on a way to extend a person's life. Would you let me look at your DNA?” She asked him.
“I'm listening.” Eric told her.
“Where's your medical lab?” She asked.
“Let me show you.” Eric told her as he stood.
Xander and Forge looked at each other and shrugged. “Let's get this transporter set up and do whatever upgrades are needed while she's busy.” Xander suggested.
“Good idea. We should probably try to find Berzerker as well.” Forge replied.
“Hmmm.....” Xander said as he lugged the equipment out of the van.
The Med Lab.....
“I honestly can't believe you've survived everything you've done to yourself.” Moira said as she examined the files Eric had given her.
“We mutants are sturdier than normal humans Dr. MacTaggert.” Eric told her as he lay on the med table with closed eyes. “What is your prognosis?”
“You don't have any lone animal traits so that aspect is out, but we have been working on something else that should be useful..” Moira trailed off.
“What have you got in mind?” Eric asked her.
“Tell me, have you ever heard of Captain America?” Moira asked.
Eric smiled softly. “I've more than heard of him. I owe him my life. Why?”
“We've gotten some data lately on Project Rebirth. The process that made the man what he was.” Moria said softly. “It's preliminary stuff right now, but we're close to a working prototype.”
Eric nodded. “I'll do my best to hold out until then. Have you any other options?”
“I've detected something in some of my studies about a hormone type that's different than what I've seen before. It might be solely in mutants but I'm having trouble isolating it.” She told him.
“ A mutant hormone?” Eric asked, interested.
“No, it's only been seen in a few of the teenagers, more like a Mutant Growth Hormone. But it's too early to tell.” Moira told him.
“Let me know what you find will you? It sounds intriguing.” Eric asked her. “Can I go?”
“Yeah, we're done here.” Moira told him. “I'll be back in two weeks to check your progress. If you could, send anyone down who's been having some health issues would you?”
“I'll spread the word around.” Eric told her as he got up from the medical bed. “Thank you Doctor.”
“You guys want me at your precious institute?” Berzerker asked them.
“We're offering you a spot. Whether you take it or not is up to you.” Xander countered. “As for our school being precious, we're all about trying to integrate those who are capable of doing so into society. Helping them fit in without feeling too alienated. It's a place of growth and development where people learn to use their abilities to help others. It isn't a the same as the sanctuary that's been built here. This place is for those that need a home and acceptance above all else.”
“Let me think about it all right?” Berzerker asked.
“School starts up in a little over a month and a half. You've got till then. There are a lot of pretty girls there kid, more than a few are single and in your age group.” Xander told him. “Who knows, one of them might like your unusual haircut.” Xander grinned.
Berzerker grinned as he tugged on the few tufts of hair on his head. “It is cool isn't it?”
“Yeah.... cool.” Xander said before rolling his eyes. “Give it some thought. It's a big world out there, and Xavier's is a stepping stone to the rest of it.”
“I will man. Just give me some time.” Berzerker told him.
“You know where we'll be.” Xander told him.
“So everything is good?” Callisto asked her.
“From what I can tell everything is fine.” Moira told her. “You're healthy as can be.”
“Good, for a while there I thought I was pregnant.” Callisto laughed.
“Well you're not. Now if you're trying to get that way, there are treatments we can discuss.” Moira told her.
“No, no. Not trying for a sprog, just a few late periods is all.” Callisto told her. “Thanks Doc.”
“I'll be back in two weeks barring any emergency calls.” Moira told her. “Is there anyone else that needs my services?”
“I'm it for the day Doc. I made sure the rest went before me.” Callisto told her.
“Good. Well I can honestly say it's been an interesting day.” Moira smiled. “I look forward to coming back here again.”
“You're a strange lady Doc.” Callisto laughed.
“Ready to go?” Xander asked Moira as he came into the infirmary.
“Very.” Moira said as she closed her 'little' black bag. “Some of the people here almost remind me of my son. Evolution can be a real bitch sometimes. The wonders and curses of the advancement of mankind.” She sighed. “Yes, I'm ready.”
“Let's get back to the van then.” Xander told her.
Back at the Mansion.....
“So how was your day Mom?” Kevin asked Moira as she fitted him into his harness.
“Interesting.” Moira told her son. “You ready to go up to dinner?”
“Yeah, think Jamie'll be up for a game of hide and seek afterwards?” Kevin asked her.
“I think he can be convinced.” Moira smiled. “I'm glad you're settling in here Kevin.”
“I'm glad we're here too mom. This place is a lot better than home was.” Kevin grinned. “Now let's go eat! I'm starving.”
“I bet you are dear.” Moira said softly as they left his room.
The Daily Bugle......
“This is crap.” Jameson said as he looked up from the article. “I'm not going to run it.”
“Is that your final decision?” Urich asked him.
“Damn right it is.” Jameson stated.
“Fine. Robbie has my resignation.” Urich said as he snatched the article from Jameson's fingers. “See you in hell Jonah.” He told his former employer before walking out of the office.
Jameson stared at the man as he walked out the office. “No big loss. I can get another hack reporter.” He said to himself before hitting his intercom. “Brant, get me Davis.”
There wasn't an answer. “Brant?” Jameson asked as he pressed the button again. “What the hell is going on?” He asked as he opened the door that led to the newsroom only to find it half empty with the rest of his staff packing up their things. “What the hell?” Jonah bellowed. “You can't do this!”
“I checked the contracts Jonah. There's a morality clause in them. They can quit over moral objections.” Robbie told him.
“What kind of an idiot would put that in there?” Jonah screamed.
“I did.” Robbie said as he slapped an envelope on Jameson's chest. “It'll be a cold day in hell before any of us work for you again.” Robbie spat.
“You can't do this!” Jameson screamed as Robbie walked away. “What the hell am I supposed to do now?”
“It's your paper Jameson. Run it yourself.” Robbie said before exiting the offices.
The last thing Robbie heard as he entered the elevator was Jonah cursing both Peter's and Spider-Man's names.
The Daily Globe.
“This article is good.” Jack Jackson said as he read the article. “Jameson didn't want to print it?”
“No he didn't.” Urich told him.
“You're hired. Any other stragglers from the Bugle on their way?” Jackson asked.
“Sir... we've just gotten three hundred applications.” Jackson's secretary said over the intercom.
“We can't hire that many.” Jackson told Urich. “But I know some people who can.”
“Good.” Urich grinned. “If you need a good managing editor, Robbie's free.”
“Anything to piss off Jameson.” Jackson said with a feral grin.
Doom put down the latest issue of the Daily Globe. “This was unexpected....” He trailed off in thought. “Benjamin Parker... There was a name for this face... A more thorough research should have been done. Perhaps Richards is right and I do rush into things sometimes. Caution must be practiced from here on out.”
“I can't believe the summer went by as fast as it did.” Peter said as he hauled his suitcase down the stairs.
“It was a quick one.” Xander agreed. “You looking forward to going back to the big city?”
“For my senior year at Midtown? You bet I am.” Peter smiled. “The Bugle's tanked and Robbie told me I can do freelance over at the Globe if I want to.”
“What happened to Jameson?” Xander asked.
“He's with his son the astronaut. Least that's what I've heard.” Peter sighed. “He didn't take losing his entire staff very well.”
“They had their reasons to leave Peter, it wasn't just what happened to you.” Xander told him. “May's doing good right?”
“Stronger than ever actually.” Peter grinned. “That was a big scare though.”
“If I could grow a new heart, I'd give her mine Pete. She's a hell of a lady.” Xander told him.
“Moira tissue typed you, it can't be done.” Peter told him with a straight face.
The Red Room.....
“I'm totally going to miss you guys.” Mary Jane sniffed as she hugged her two closest friends.
“We'll be here Mary. No worries on that.” Rahne told her. “You can always call and visit on weekends if you're not busy with the costume business.”
“We'll make sure no one takes your bed Mary.” Theresa told her. “You'll be missed.”
“You two are the best. I'll be back for the holidays, I promise.” Mary Jane told them.
“Go on girl. Peter's waiting.” Rahne sniffed.
“Later guys.” Mary Jane told them as she grabbed her overstuffed suitcases and struggled down the hallway.
“Think we should help her?” Rahne asked Theresa.
“Nah, she's got it.” Theresa grinned. “Come on, I heard Kurt's making brownies.”
“You know I can't eat chocolate.” Rahne pouted.
“I know, that's why you're the distraction.” Theresa told her.
First day of school.....
“I don't know if I can go to school.” Jamie whined.
“You had a duplicate go for years Jamie, you'll be fine.” Xander assured him. “You've got an image inducer over the suit so it looks like you're wearing normal clothes. You'll do fine.”
“Do I have to?” Jamie asked him.
“This or you're home schooled.” Xander told him. “Give it a week would you?”
“All right.” Jamie nodded.
“Good, you get a lunch packed?” Xander asked.
Jamie's eyes widened. “I'll be right back.” He said before running off.
Xander laughed as he watched the littlest mutant run off. He turned to the rest of the group. “Anyone else forget to pack a lunch?”
Five of the group ran off while Logan chuckled. “It's always something.” he grunted.
“It's going to take two vans to get them all there today.” Xander sighed. “Even with Scott taking Jean.”
“The others aren't cleared on the insurance to drive the vans yet.” Logan told him. “I'll take the newbies.”
“What don't you trust us?” Tabitha asked.
“Nope.” Logan smirked.
“Jesus, there are more of them.” Lance said as he watched the two vans unload in the parking lot.
“Xavier's been busy.... Shit is that Wanda?” Pietro exclaimed. “Later.” he said before rushing off.
“Weird.” Lance muttered as he lost track of his house mate. “I guess he knows one of them.”
From above the teens head, Principal Kelley watched the two vans fully unload. “Why are so many of the new students from the Xavier institute?” He mused. “I'll have to keep my eye on them. I don't want any troublemakers in my school.”
“Sorry I'm late class, some people were late turning in their equipment today at PE.” Henry McCoy said as he put on his lab coat. “Today we're making something I'm sure you'll all enjoy, stink bombs!”
“This is going to be awesome.” Todd said to Kurt who couldn't stop grinning.
“I know.” Kurt laughed. “This year is going to be great!”
Manhattan Midtown Magnet High....
“We are back!” Peter grinned as he and Mary Jane walked into the high school.
“Easy there Tiger...” Mary Jane grinned. “It's great that we're here and on time. That's good enough for me for the first day.”
“I'd have been late if you weren't there to back me up.” Peter told her. “Thanks for that.”
“Guy deserved it.” Mary Jane snorted. “Come on, let's make sure we get to homeroom before Thompson does. If he gropes me this year, I'm slapping him.”
“Good plan.” Peter told her. “It'll be fun to see him try to call me puny this year.”
“You going to stop by the Globe after school?” Mary Jane asked.
“Thirty percent is yours.” Peter promised.
“You're the best Tiger.” Mary Jane grinned.
