I don't own the X-Men, those belong to Marvel Comics and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Emma Frost was created by Chris Claremont and John Bryne.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was created By Joss Whedon and all the characters with the BTVS TV series are his as well.
The Thundercats were created by Ted Wolf and currently belong to Warner Brothers, at one point in time Marvel comics did do a run of the them in comics form, although DC comics do them now.
A little short, but here it is.
“You're having a party and I can't come?” Risty asked Anna.
“It's a cookout, and no you can't.” Anna told her. “We've got rules where I live and I have to follow them.”
“Sod the rules! Why can't I visit?” Risty asked.
Anna raised an eyebrow. Risty was being unusually insistent about this. “I like where I'm living, and I don't plan on going anywhere just yet.” Anna told her. “That means there are rules I have to follow. It's worth the price I pay for them.”
“Spoilsport.” Risty grinned.
“I guess.” Anna laughed. She'd have to have Emma or Jean peek later. Something wasn't right.
“You want me to peek into your friend's mind?” Emma asked her that day in lunch.
“Please.” Anna said softly. “She's digging for a visit to the mansion.”
Emma nodded and without looking directly at the girl, focused on Risty's mind. “She's... got some rudimentary shielding.... dear god it's Mystique.” Emma said, wide eyed.
“You're kidding.” Anna said as she looked at Emma's face. “Oh god, you're not. I was her.... that bitch!” Anna hissed. “Oh, she is so getting darted later today.”
“Just don't give it away. If she's been here posing as a student she might be behind other things too.” Emma told her.
“You mean the fact that the Professor is busy dealing with his brother while Logan and Ororo are out of town. She really wanted in today.” Anna concluded. “But what would she be after?”
“Besides Cerebro's files?” Emma asked. “From what I saw, she'd have caused a lot of chaos given a chance.”
“Crap.” Anna said. “Alert the rest of the gang as to who she is but tell them to play it cool.”
“Done.” Emma said after a few moments of concentration. Everyone noticed Kurt and Wanda get up and head towards the pay phones. “Looks like we're going to have to be more careful from here on out if she can pose as a student for as long as she did.”
“No sleepovers then.” Anna said with a nod.
“I think we have enough of those already.” Emma grinned.
“Kurt, she's where?” Xander said into his cell phone. “Take it easy brother mine. Don't do anything. At least wait until the school day is over before outing her. I'll be there as soon as I can.” Xander said before hanging up the phone.
“What's up?” Cordelia asked.
“Mom showed up. She's been posing as a student at the high school.” Xander told his wife. “I'm going to head over there once our last class is over.”
“Want me to drive back?” She offered.
“That'd be best. You and Sean can get the vans over to the school while I keep an eye on her.” Xander said. “I'm going to call him and have him up the security level at the Mansion.”
New York Supermax prison.....
“What the devil?” Xavier said as he looked at the readouts. “This has been tampered with. Everything's fine. Is this some kind of joke?” Xavier asked the warden.
“No sir. From what our technicians could tell us, this was a real threat.” The Warden told him with a frown. “I don't like this Charles.”
“This kind of sabotage is rare, I thought you'd upped your security?” Xavier asked.
“We did. I guess it wasn't enough.” The Warden sighed. “I'm sorry to have wasted your time Charles.”
“Better a false alarm than a real one.” Xavier countered. “I'll be on my way once I've restarted the system.”
“Risty we need to talk.” Anna said to her friend as they walked the grounds of the high school.
“About what?” Risty asked.
“About you lying to me, Mystique.” Anna half snarled at the woman.
Risty almost flinched but she felt a strong hand clamp onto her shoulder. “What do you want mother?” Xander asked her.
“What I want is for all of you to wake up and see that Xavier's blinding you. I'll settle for him dead.” 'Risty' said as she noticed the other X-kids come around. “I'll be going now.” She said with a sneer.
“You're not going anywhere.” Scott told her.
“What are you going to do with the Principal watching?” She countered with a harsh laugh. “You're all too well behaved to do anything.”
“She's right. We could make all the people around here ignore us, but it'd be a stretch for some.” Emma said.
“I'll be going now.” Mystique said as she shook free from her son's grip. She walked away from the large group of teens.
“Damn it.” Kurt swore.
“It'll be okay.” Wanda told him as she held his hand. “Let's get back to the mansion. It looks like we could use that cookout after all.”
Everyone heard Xander sigh. “She's just so damn angry.”
“Give her time.” Fred suggested. “People don't change overnight.”
“Right. We don't even know how old she is. There's no telling how long she's been like this.” Xander snorted.
“Let's just go home.” Kurt said. “I don't want to be here right now.”
At the cookout...
“Don't look so down.” Cordelia told her sister. “It's not very attractive.”
Anna snorted. “Right. My first real friend here outside of the 'family' was actually that shape changing bitch.”
“She's really good at what she does.” Cordelia told her. “Despite that, you suspected her. If you hadn't, she might have been able to worm her way into here when everyone's distracted.”
“I know. Security here is important. From what Emma told me, the Cerebro unit has files on not just us, but a great deal of other mutants. She might have been able to get all the information she needed to build a team more suited to her vision of things.” Anna said with a shudder. “I'd hate to see what she could do with a team like ours.”
“Which is why we have the security we do. Last thing we need is someone taking Xavier's place without us knowing.” Cordelia said. “Come on, there's a fruity drink in a pineapple waiting for you by the food.”
“I'm coming.” Anna grinned as she stood. “Why are all the guys huddled by the grill and the pit?”
“They're guys. It's their thing.” Cordelia shrugged.
The Jameson residence....
“Dad what are you doing?” John Jameson asked his father as he stepped into the frame of the door to his father's bedroom.
“I'm close John. I'm really close!” Jonah told his son while gesturing to the board of different articles and police reports tacked to the wall and connected with bits of different color string.
“To what?” John asked his father. Jonah wasn't taking his 'retirement' very well.
“His identity!” Jonah crowed. “I've almost got it. It's like it's staring me right in the face. I'll find out who that no good crook is and expose him to the world.”
“Dad, I owe Spider-Man my life. He isn't a bad guy. Drop it.” John told him.
“I can't son. He's taken almost everything from me.” Jonah said.
“Please Dad, let it go.” John pleaded. “It's time for dinner.”
“I'll be there in a minute.” Jonah said as he picked up another piece of string.
Peter swung up onto the nearest roof and answered his cell phone that had been set to vibrate. “Hello?” Peter said.
“It's Fury. There's been an alarm going off over at Roxxon Industries. I want you to check it out.” Peter heard Fury say as Mary Jane landed on the roof.
“Why me?” Peter asked.
“Earlier this week a piece of Osborn Industries disappeared. Now the same department of an opposing company is broken into. It's still happening. Get over there.” Fury explained.
“On our way.” Peter said as he hung up the phone.
“Saddle up, we've got to go to the industrial section.” He told Mary Jane. “I'll explain on the way.”
“Whoa.” Spider-Man said as he watched a green thing wearing purple rocket off from the building on some sort of glider “He's too high and too far.”
Spider-Woman extended her legs and fired off some paralytic beams. The thing dodged after the first near miss.
They were about to pursue when both of their Spider senses started screaming at them to get clear.
The Roxxon building blew in a massive cloud of green flames and an odd scream. Both Spiders barely made it clear in time.
“Follow him?” Spider-Woman yelled.
“What?” Spider-Man screamed. “I can't hear you but I think we should follow him!”
“That's what I said!” Spider-Woman yelled.
The Goblin's Nest....
Norman Osborn had a grin on his face that almost outdid the one on the mask he'd just taken off. “This power.... The thrill! There's nothing better than this!” He shouted to the heavens.
His watch beeped and he felt the effects of Globulin Green start to fade from his system. The shakes set in. “It's not enough.” He gasped. “Not enough.”
A house a few blocks from the Brotherhood house.....
“Weeks of work ruined by those damn telepaths.” Mystique fumed. She felt a breeze and looked up. “Pietro? What are you..” She didn't finish as a gloved fist knocked her out before she could react.
Pietro Maximoff looked at the fallen woman with no expression on his face. He tossed her over one shoulder before speeding off to his next destination.
This would be the last Bayville would see of these two mutants for some time.
“Xander, are you okay?” Charles asked the teen as he was served a buffalo burger.
“Just a feeling Prof.” Xander told him. “Just a feeling.”
