I don't own the X-Men, those belong to Marvel Comics and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Emma Frost was created by Chris Claremont and John Bryne.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was created By Joss Whedon and all the characters with the BTVS TV series are his as well.
The Thundercats were created by Ted Wolf and currently belong to Warner Brothers, at one point in time Marvel comics did do a run of the them in comics form, although DC comics do them now.
Adrienne Frost stared at her reflection in the mirror. For the past two years she'd been seeing things. Flashes of the past and things from the future that she'd gotten from things she'd touched. She'd researched it, and found out her ability was called Psychometry. It was useful enough to prevent her own death three times in the past six months alone. She'd been seeing things that she'd liked lately. She'd seen a chance for her to be happy. Happy like her sister seemed to be.
She shoved a few choice books into her suitcase on top of her clothing and zipped it up. She headed down the hall to her youngest sister's room and knocked.
Cordelia Frost opened the door and stared at her sister. “What do you want?” she asked.
“I'm going, away from Dad and away from his blood business. You should come too.” Adrienne said softly.
“Why are you leaving?” Cordelia asked.
“I've seen parts of my life, chances. This is my chance to be happy and I'm taking it. I've had enough of this bullshit of Dad's. I won't force you to come.” Adrienne told her.
“Will you help me pack?” Cordelia asked.
“Fine.” Adrienne said. “Where's your passport?”
“Right, do we have enough beds for this?” Hank asked as he stared at the big board.
“I think we do, if we use the half of the underground bunks.” Ororo said. “Though those are literal bunks in some cases.”
“Hmm... We could get some air mattresses.” Hank offered. “That or let a few families bunk in your loft.”
“No. Let them use the bunks.” Ororo said. “That space is meant for me. I can't handle enclosed spaces all that well.”
“You are the house mother.” Hank grinned. “Just be sure to run this by Charles before too long.”
Forest Hills, Queens:
“So what are your plans this year for Thanksgiving?” Anna Watson asked May.
“Oh, I'll be with friends this year. We're going up to that nice school Peter went to this summer.” May told her. “You're invited of course.”
“Mary Jane told me that place was a little different, but worth it overall.” Anna said. “Would I have to cook?”
“Only if you wanted to help.” May smiled. “The people I've been trading recipes with are up there.”
“No wonder they have problems with small recipes.” Anna grinned. “I'll talk to Mary Jane about it.”
Four Freedoms Plaza....
“That's the thing that was attached to my son's ship?” J. Jonah Jameson asked Mr. Fantastic.
“It is.” Reed said with an absentminded nod. “Your son's quarantine cell is this way. We've done some further studies and he seems to be perfectly fine for the most part.”
“What's wrong with him?” Jonah asked.
“Well, he'll have to get larger clothes and learn to control his strength which has doubled overnight.”
“What about his bone density?” Jonah asked.
“It's like he's never been in space before. The medical implications of the spores are astounding. I'm farming them out to a man who's got a greater expertise in that area compared to me. I simply don't have the time to dedicate solely to that branch of science.” Reed told him.
“Who are you letting cover it?” Jonah, always the newsman asked.
“His name is Henry Pym.” Reed said as they reached John's cell. “He's good at what he does.”
“When is he getting out of here?” Jonah asked.
“He'll be home well in time for Thanksgiving.” Reed assured him.
“Hi Dad.” John said to his father.
“We've got company.” Ben said as he finished his breakfast.
“I'll say we do.” Calvin said as he perked up. “We've got two more mutants incoming. I can feel them.”
“And that makes five.” Angelica said as she put her dishes in the sink.
“We haven't even opened officially yet.” Ben sighed.
“You're never boring.” Vance grinned.
“It's a gift.” Ben muttered as he went to the front of the school.
Outside the gate....
“Can I help you?” Ben said as he approached the Mercedes.
“Um... Sanctuary?” The driver said.
Ben looked at them. “You two are related to Emma aren't you?”
“He's good.” The passenger said to the driver.
“I know.” The driver grinned. “He's got the devil's luck too. I'm Adrienne Frost and this is my sister Cordelia.”
Ben jerked like he'd been hit in the gut. “Welcome to my home.” He said softly.
“You miss her greatly.” Cordelia said with a sigh. “She's a lucky girl.”
“She's not mine to keep.” Ben told her. “Telepath?”
“Empath.” Cordelia told him.
“Psychometric.” Adrienne said. “We're here because this is the best place for us.”
“Where Emma isn't.” Cordelia added.
“Yeah, that.” Adrienne sighed. “We've been driving for a few hours, can we come in?”
Ben opened the gate and let the car in before securing it and teleporting himself ahead of them.
“He's fast.” Cordelia said as she saw Ben waiting for them at the garage.
“He's something all right.” Adrienne grinned. “Dibs.”
“He's hurting.” Cordelia countered. “Don't screw this up for us.”
“I won't. I've seen some great things about this place.” Adrienne said confidently.
“Seriously, don't screw this up.” Cordelia said as she got out of the car. “He's got rage in him too. A lot of it.”
“He's passionate. I like passionate men.” Adrienne said as she unbuckled her seatbelt.
“Passionate men huh?” Ben asked as he brought the bags into the main hall.
“Enhanced senses.” Ben told her as he walked down the hall.
Straightening her shoulders she followed him.
“Everyone, this is Adrienne and Cordelia Frost. They're related to someone my original knew back in Bayville. They're mutants like us.” Ben explained.
Calvin had a grin the size of Texas as he looked at the two different but still stunning sisters. Their powers were different enough to fit into his own. He felt complete for the first time since he'd run into Ben. Ben had been right. He would have grabbed onto this feeling with everything he had if he could. “Ladies.”
“You're unusually happy.” Cordelia said with her head cocked to one side.
“And you're not.” Calvin grinned.
“He's a mimic.” Angelica said. “I'm Angelica. The grinning guy is Calvin and the guy glued to his coffee mug is Vance.”
“Firestar, Mimic and Marvel Boy.” Adrienne said as she touched the table. “We're going to be spending a lot of time together.”
“Have I got a name?” Ben grinned.
“Bengali.” Adrienne said. “Not entirely original but it suits you.”
Cordelia snorted “Show off.”
“You've already gotten more students?” Xavier into the phone. “Impressive.” He chuckled. He pulled the phone from his ear. “I've never heard that phrased in quite that way before.” Xavier said. “I have to agree that both of them would be more background than anything else. Train them up but be careful. From what I've gleaned in my sessions with Emma, Adrienne's a manipulator. Also, be sure to be here for Thanksgiving. Emma's mother at least is coming and her father might make an appearance. It should be amusing. Thank you for calling Ben.” Xavier said setting the phone back into it's cradle.
“Think he'll crack?” Logan grinned.
“Somehow I doubt it.” Xavier said as he drummed his fingers on his desk. “Both Frost sisters... dear god they're going to be a handful.”
“Better him than us.” Logan laughed.
Adrienne sighed as she sat in her room. The mattress was still new but the room told her stories. So many stories.
There was a knock on her door and she looked up. It was Ben. “I've got your uniforms.” He told her.
“We just got here.” She said in confusion.
“It's complicated.”Ben sighed. “I'm more of a caretaker than a headmaster at the moment.”
Adrienne eyed the red uniforms that she'd seen before. She knew how she looked in them. “Fine.” She said taking them. “But know I'm doing this under protest.”
“Fine.” Ben sighed.
Back in Queens....
“We can go to Bayville for Thanksgiving? Really?” Mary Jane asked her aunt.
“If you want.” Anna grinned.
“I do, I really do!” Mary Jane said, bouncing.
“Good. Now what's this about a nondisclosure agreement I have to sign?” Anna asked her.
“Well, it's complicated.” Mary Jane said, “But totally worth it.”
“I've got absolutely nothing on this guy. He's like Teflon!” Urich groused as he sipped his beer.
“We're trying, we really are.” Johnson said as he rubbed his eyes. “I had photos sent to me last week. Photos of my two little girls at private school, where cameras aren't allowed.”
“That doesn't leave this room.” Robbie said to the others.
“Fine.” Urich said. “Sorry boss.”
“It's not your fault I have children. Not like you were my roommate in college.” Jackson said. “How's the Jameson front coming?”
“Slowly. His son's still in quarantine.” Robbie sighed. “It'll be another week before he starts the presses again.”
“Run what you can Robbie.” Jackson said. “Dear god let him run me into the ground. That way it won't be my fault.”
Massachusetts..... A week later....
“I've got to head out for a minute.” Ben called to the others. “Remember, no visitors!”
“We get it.” Calvin grinned. “Now go meet this Forge guy. So I can get that protective gear.”
“The electrostatically shielded undies.” Ben reminded him.
“Whatever they are.” Calvin said. “We won't burn the place down while you're gone.
“Course not, that's what the asbestos is for.” Ben said before vanishing form sight.
“He was kidding right?” Cordelia asked her sister.
Adrienne touched one of the walls. “We're fine.”
“Good.” Cordelia said with a nod. “I'll be in my room.”
Sanctuary, South Dakota....
Ben appeared at the front gates and used his pass code to enter. He jogged up the roadway and went into the house.
“Ben, you're on time.” Forge called as he came down the steps.
“That I am. Have you got what I asked for?” Ben said as he closed the front door.
“All business huh?” Forge grinned. “That's just like you.”
“I guess.” Ben shrugged before sniffing the air. He looked around. “Why didn't anyone tell me there were.... whoa!” He finished as he was tackled by two felinoid women. “Cat women here.” Ben sighed.
“Um... surprise?” Forge said hesitantly. “Those two are usually quite shy around newcomers.”
“Great. So what are your names?” Ben asked the two girls who were starting to come to their senses.
“They're Maria and Lucia Callasantos.” A voice called from upstairs. “And they were in the middle of some testing before you arrived.”
“Eric.” Ben said with a nod.
“Amazing.” Eric said. “When you're like that, you hardly look like him.”
“That was sort of the point.” Ben shrugged. “Nice to see you up and about. You're looking better.
“The treatment I'm on is helping. It's not perfect, but I'm doing better.” Eric said. “Ladies, your math test is waiting and the clock is ticking.”
Both cat girls scrambled back up the steps with a shouted apology as they went.
“That was different.” Ben sighed as he tried to get some of the foreign fur out of his own with little success.
“How are you adjusting?” Eric asked.
“One day at a time. Being in a new place helps.” Ben told him. “Though the new place is already getting crowded. We were there less than a few days when two more showed up.”
“You have a way about you.” Eric said with a shrug. “Any news on my son's whereabouts?”
“Last I checked, Xavier couldn't track him with Cerebro so he isn't using his powers much.” Ben said. “I'll keep my ear to the ground and my nose open, but no promises.”
“Pietro can take care of himself, that isn't what has me worried. It's just a feeling.” Eric sighed. “I need to go back upstairs and make sure those two aren't cheating on their tests. Say, how big is your new place anyways?”
“No way.” Ben said. “Not happening.”
“We've a few here that could do with a real school environment.” Eric said with a smile.
“I've already got five mutants there. I don't need more just yet. It's only me at the moment taking care of things.” Ben protested.
Eric nodded. “Once you get some more staff, we'll talk again.”
“Yeah, somehow I think that'll be a ways off.” Ben said while rolling his eyes.
“One can never be certain on those types of things.” Eric said. “Who know, you might just have someone fall into your lap one day.”
“Are you hinting at something?” Eric asked.
“No, just stating that your life is fairly unpredictable.” Eric said. “Good day, Ben.”
“Till next time Eric.” Ben nodded as the man slowly went back up the stairs. Ben turned to Forge.. “So the stuff I asked for.”
“I'll go get it.” Forge said before running off.
“Lord, give me strength.” Ben sighed.
The Daily Bugle....
“And We're Back!” Jonah yelled as he restarted the presses
“What?” Robbie shouted. “I can't hear you over the presses!”
“I said we're back!” Jameson shouted.
