A simple premise - each of them looking at the other through their own perceptions of reality. Buffy's abilities make her look like a metahuman. Oliver could be Apollo's avatar, given the association with the bow and arrows and his blond looks, while Clark could be an avatar of Helios, the Titan that drew the sun across the sky, or, of course, Zeus. Whether they're simply wrong about their impressions of each other or whether there's something else they're wrong about, well...
