Rating: PG 13
Word Count: My goal is 100 a drabble.
A/N: The show and characters are not mine by legal means only in my fantasies…I also will be posting them as I type them up b/c I write my fics the lame old inefficient way via pen and paper then I have to type type type them up. I’ve got four ficlets down and a bunch more to work on but I wanted to see the response I got from this. And it is Un-Betad and a bit rough too.
Xander had never been more afraid in his life. He’d been caught with some stolen candy but it wasn’t his fault he swore it. He could blame Jesse and willow for this one. They’d dared him to steal it. But, boy did he regret this fun game. His daddy’s hand made sure of it.
Life lessons were tough ones Xander thought to himself. His grandpa was dead. His dad had announced it at dinner, amidst his mother’s tears and his father’s silence he found himself unaware. He didn’t know what to do, things were different now.
Death was his biggest lesson to learn, grandpa and grandma and now Jesse was gone. Wiping the ashes out of his mouth, he tried to catch a few flakes in the sodden handkerchief he had, he wanted to keep him. He wanted to keep Jesse close to him forever. Xander hated that the biggest lesson of all had to have been the most painful one too.
