Chapter One

Everyone was running around the hotel when Bryn came in with the mail as she sat it on the counter.

"Hey what are you going?" Cordy asked as she came out to see her.

"Home, I'm off remember?" she said laughing about the leave when Angel came out with something in his hand.

"Ah Bryn good your here" he said with a smile.

"Yes?" she knew he was going to ask her for a favor.

"Could you..." he began "Do you a favor?" she finished smiling.

He smiled back "Yeah do you have storage at your place?" she looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes why? And what is that in your hand?" she asked.

"Well I was just cleaning up in the basement going through all things to..." But he was cut off by Willow.

"Sort through and throw out" she said and he ducked his head.

"I swear for him being so neat and clean this man is a pack rat" She ranted as they smiled or snickered.

Bryn smirked "So you want me to house that cause you don't have room?" she said pointing to the cover object in his hand.

"Yeah so can you?" he asked looking sheepish and she just sighed and took it from him.

"Fine, but what is it? Feels like a painting" she commented as she handled it.

"That's what is, I got it back when I was evil, some guy was trying to get rid of it and Darla bought it as a present for me.

But we never looked at it after that, becoming busy and all" he said with a sheepish look again.

Bryn showed a face of mild disgust "Ok I don't want to hear the sordid details of when you were with Darla" she told him. "See ya guys" and with that she was gone.

Bryn had gotten home some time ago relaxing on her day off.

She was watching tv when she saw the covered painting still on the couch. she wondered curiously.

She slowly got up to grab it as she held it in her hands she said "It's a little heavy" then she tried to pull on the strings with a tug.

It wouldn't move so she went into the kicthen with it and placed it on the table.

She went to grab a knife to cut the string away.

When she finally got all the string off she grabbed the old cloth covering it when the phone rang.

She stopped and went for the cordless "Hello?" She said into the phone as she walked back.

"Hey! You left before we could talk, and I had to hear more memories down vampire lane" Cordy said in a sorta mad voice.

"I'm sorry Cordy, but like I said I was off and had other things I had to do" she replied to her as she began to pull the covering off but not paying attention to it.

"Okay I guess I'll forgive you, anyway your coming with me and Will to that new club we been going to" she asked in a cheery mood back to normal.

"I don't know, I was....." That was when she looked down and saw the uncovered painting.

It took her a moment to actually see the painting and then her eyes became as wide as saucers with shock.

She dropped the phone to the floor and turns to throw up in the sink sickened by what she has seen.

Cordy on the other end didn't know of any of this and was saying "Bryn you there?"
