Diagon and Knockturn Alley How Quaint

Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to J.K Rowling and Scholastic Books, Star Wars belongs to George Lucas and Lucas Arts.

As a ward of the State, Mantika was sent to Hogwarts using the small fund that had been set aside by his “parents”. As a Sith, Mantika knew that he had to advertise minimally developed powers gradually or else he would be discovered. Luckily, the Sith developed techniques for hiding their power signatures from friend and foe alike.

His family outside of Hogwarts were fools, large gravid wizards that had to use locomotor spells to get around. He almost wanted to use Sith Alchemy to sicken them; but then realized that they could be a useful smokescreen to his intentions later. The only part he truly despised was he had to adopt the surname of Bludgewort to be considered for them. His other choice were a powerful PureBlood family: the Malfoys. It served his purposes to be unnoticed for now; returning home was his goal after he secured an appropriate Apprentice.

His father took him to Diagon Alley to get his school supplies. But made a beeline to a candy vendor after securing him some gold. He almost wanted to smirk when he saw Malfoy push others out of his way; this one was arrogant enough to be used as a pawn. The two dimwits that were flanking Malfoy might be agreeable cronies of his after some modification.

He followed his father to Flourish and Blotts, where he picked up some books that were on his school list before sighting a book entitled “Muggle Movies and how to recreate props from them.”
He begged and pleaded with his “father” for it as an early birthday present and cackled internally as his father added it to the pile.

Mantika decided to beg his father for the things at all other shops than Mr. Olivander's.
Two reasons that he failed to like the man; first he was a mere shopkeeper and second he seemed to catch enough power to try to start him with a very powerful wand; Elder 12 inches stiff with a dragon heart core. He forced his magic to do nothing and glared at Olivander; the aging wizard got him a yew wand with a toad heart core. Mantika carefully channeled a sliver of his power through it. The sparks were strong and streaming. After his father handed over the gold; Mantika started on a delightful idea.
He dragged his “father” over to Flortescues and placed him on a stool. He went around a corner and found himself in a darker place, a place that proclaimed itself Knockturn Alley. It possessed a mere fraction of the dark aura of Korriban, but he instantly took a liking to it. Using an array of materials as well as some black cloth he nicked from a dumpster; he made a suitable dummy. In less than five minutes he had it fully animate, not admiring his work but proceeding quickly he entered a dark bookstore. He ran his finger over the volumes, running down until a familiar title caught his eye.
It was a battered magical manual that attempted to recreate Sith Arts. “How to become a Sith in a year.”
Mantika smirked at the thought of wizards trying to become Sith. His father would be almost ready to notice his absence. He directed the golem out into a secluded corner of Knockturn Alley and deanimated and disassembled it. He stepped back to Diagon Alley where his robes were siezed by his father's grimy hands.

Time to put on the scared little boy act.
“D-D-D-Daddy I got lost w-when looking around this p-place.” Mantika stuttered expertly.
Needless to say Bleigst Bludgewort was as dumb as he was large, unfortunately that came with a dullard's finesse as he crushed the boy archmage to him. The man would be a fitting minion for a Hutt.
“Now Manny, never leave my sight again!” Bleigst said. Dullards also have no volume control.
A/N: Well, That seemed sufficient to get the ball rolling again. Please review with thoughts, even though I have a definite idea of where to take this in the next chapter. Flames will be used to heat my dorm room.
