Spike sighed, god there really was no point.
He had a chip. He couldn’t hurt anyone. He was a sorry excuse for a vampire. He wasn’t even evil anymore. Not even kinda naughty.
He was pathetic.
Spike stood up and paced his crypt. And now he was supposed to break up the Scoobies, for Adam. That’s how he met his evil quota now. Revealing children’s insecurities and making them fight. Pathetic!
Oh, and you can’t forget the demon slaying he now did. The chip had reduced him to not only not being evil, but now it had him fighting the good fight. True, he only killed demons to get his ‘spot of violence’, as he liked to say. Actually he kinda preferred the demons. They were much more challenging to fight then humans.
Hell, humans practically scream and fall lip in your arms. They might as well be screaming ‘bite me’. Or there’s always the one’s that try to run, too bad for them that they’re too busy screaming and looking back to watch where they’re going. The run and stumble. Spike shook his head.
No, he much preferred fighting demons the problem is they didn’t taste to good. The only humans he liked fighting we’re Slayers. He couldn’t deny it he liked a challenge. Fist and Fangs, was his motto.
‘Don’t you ever get tiered of fights you know you’re gonna win?’
His own words echoed in his head.
He made his way down the ladder and into the sewers.
I don’t even know why I’m bothering with this whole ‘Yoko’ thing.
Spike entered the Watcher’s house silently. He was singing? ‘Free Bird’.
The Watcher let out a scream when he finally saw him.
“For someone who has ‘Watcher’ on their resume you may want to try casting an eye to the front door every now and again.” Spike said as he headed to the kitchen.
“What do you want?” Giles asked removing his glasses.
Spike pulled a bag of blood from the fridge. “I knew I left one. Buffy around?”
“Why?” Giles asked.
“I need to speak to the lady of the house.” Spike told him. “Hey, be a pet and give her a message for me, would you? Tell her I just might have something she just might want.”
“And what might that ‘something’ be?” Giles asked.
“Bugger this!” Spike shrunk into Giles couch. I was right I’m not evil.
“Spike, what on earth are you talking about?” Giles questioned.
Spike sighed. “Rupert.” He paused. “You know how you told me that when I got the chip it might be the sign that I’m destined for some higher purpose?”
“Yeah.” Giles prodded.
“Well, Adam approached me a while back.” Spike told him. “And I’ve been working for him.”
Giles gave him a strange look.
Spike continued. “Now he wants me to separate the Slayer from her friends. And I’ve been thinking…”
Spike continued to explain to Giles his conflicting emotions and his desire to fight for the white hats. They spent the next two hours discussing the possibility of Spike joining the Scoobies.
“… Now those files I was telling you about, from the Initiative, they contain lots of stuff that would be important to stopping Adam. Design schematics, all of Maggie Walsh’s dirty laundry.” Spike started to pace. “Maybe I could get them from Adam.”
“Are you sure Spike?” Giles asked with general concern. “It could be very dangerous. If Adam found out about your… switch, for lack of better word, he could kill you.”
“It’s the least I can do.” Spike told him before heading out the door and making a dash for the sewer.
“Just be careful.” Giles murmured before pouring himself a drink.
Author's Note: OK that was the introduction. I wonder how this will work out for Spike? Maybe Riley will think he's being naughty and try to stake him? And maybe Sam and Dean will come to Sunnydale? I don't know... :)
