Cordelia / Sam Winchester (Supernatural) Timeline:
AU for Angel
It's Just...a Little Crush "...So let it be what it'll be
Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me
Here's what I'll do
I'll play loose
Run like we have a day with destiny
It's just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do depends on you

CORDELIA GASPED WHEN SHE RECEIVED the bouquet of the rainbow coloured roses handed to her by the last person she expected to see this evening. Of course he wasn't where he was supposed
to be sitting (she had chairs reserved for her friends and family and she quickly noticed that two of the seven seats she had reserved were empty), but she knew he had a perfectly good reason for missing her debut on stage this evening.
"Oh Sammy, you shouldn't have," she cooed and got up from her seat to hug the charming southern young man dressed in jeans and plaid shirt. He looked too tired and the bags under his eyes told her he hadn't had a decent night's sleep.
"Hey, it's the least I can do for missing your big gig this evening," Sam Winchester returned Cordelia's hug and almost lifted the petite brunette off the ground. He and Dean caught up with Angel and the rest of the AI team after the show to head towards the backstage to personally congratulate their friend for a wonderful performance.
Cordelia pulled away from him then and glared. She placed the bouquet on her dressing table before turning to smack him hard on the shoulder.
" Sam winced when she hit a nerve.
"Sorry," Cordelia quickly apologized then realized why she hit him in the first place and quickly took the word back. "No, I am not
sorry. You knew tonight's the
night 'coz I've told you about it for months and still you and your brother missed it!" she practically shrieked.
"Look, I'm sorry. I tried to ditch Dean, but you know how he can be," he explained then sent his brother a skewering glare over Cordelia's head.
Dean stood behind with the rest of the AI team and told him to go to Cordelia first since they all knew she would have a cow for him missing her big debut performance this evening.
"Sure, sure," Cordelia waved him off and presented her back to him before planting her nicely curved behind back on the stool she was using a moment ago. "Every time I have something big
that comes up, you
always find an excuse to ditch me."
"Cordy..." he whined and closed the distance between them, kneeling beside her and meeting the brunette's gaze in the mirror. "You know you're special to me, right?"
"Somehow I don't feel that I'm special," she pouted.
Sam made a face and gently shouldered her. "Aw come on
Cordelia Chase! You know I'd drop everything in a blink of an eye for you," he confessed.
"Really?" she asked bitterly, her eyebrow cocked as she held his gaze in the mirror.
"Well, except when Dean's got my head in a headlock that I can't get away from," he back-pedaled.
Cordelia just gave him a yeah-whatever-you-say look before proceeding to ignoring him. Sam tried to sweet-talk her to forgiving him. He knew he screwed up big time this time, and Dean knew it as well; it was even him who suggested to buy her a bouquet of the most expensive flower arrangement he could get his hands on to soften the blow of him missing her entire
performance as opposed to just missing the first half of it.
"Are you sure they're not really together-together?" Fred asked no one in particular as she watched Sam try his best to convince Cordelia that he was sorry.
"Sometimes I wonder the same thing too, Fred," replied Angel whose eyes were on the couple by the dressing table.
"I don't think I'll need either one of them to sing for me to know what's going on," said Lorne before quickly adding, "I can sense both their auras and whoa-boy, so much sexual tension stored up there."
"They sure act like an old married couple having their usual spat," Wesley pointed out.
"And Sam's losing this battle, that's for sure," Gunn chuckled.
"I told him he should've bought her two
dozen flowers and some really expensive chocolates to sweeten the pot, but he just wouldn't listen," tsked Dean.
Five pairs of eyes turned to look dumbfounded at the Kansas-born Demon Hunter. Dean frowned when they caught their stare and demanded what they were looking queerly at him for.
