A New Beginning or A watchers work is never Done

Jessica Harris Drayton finished reading the pages that had fallen out of her mother’s diary.

She had come across it as part of her duties as the councils historian. She was sorting out the pre war and wartime documents that were not part of the main archive.

Reading about mom, aunt Buffy and aunty Willow, Grandpa Giles and Uncle and Aunt Wells brought back so many memories. They were all gone now except for Aunt Wells, Chao-Ahn Wells was the last of the old guard still alive.

Next year would be the fiftieth anniversary of the war. So many movies and documentaries were being made to commemorate the war. These documents were needed for the official council funded documentary.

She would need to read through the diary properly, once she got the pages back into the right place, so she could edit out most of the personal parts. The same needed to be done the other Scoobie diaries. Her work was never done...
