Reaper

By:

Ruby Paladin

Blood covered the dimly lit warehouse as the mutilated bodies of the crime syndicate were strung about the interior. Shell casings littered the floor as it was evident that the criminals had fought against whatever had done this to them. A scream could be heard and a man’s head began to roll into the light as a figure clad in a black suit stepped out.

“How did I do?” She asked into the darkness.

Partially stepping into the light, all that could be seen of the person was a black and orange mask that had only one eye. He nodded.

“Good, Kendra.” Deathstroke said.

“Can I have me new name?” She asked almost playfully.

“Since I’m remolding you from a mere Slayer, I think Reaper would be perfect.” He informed her.

Kendra seemed to consider the name as she turned her head towards the darkness. From the belt of her suit, she pulled out what looked like a metal stake and threw it. A body could be heard falling to the floor.

“KENNEDY!” A man’s voice yelled before an explosion killed him.

Deathstroke turned his gaze to his apprentice who merely smirked.

Author’s End Notes: No, the Kennedy killed is a guy.
