There was a beat of the drum.
The hunt begin.
The Four Horsemen Of Apocalypse pulled in their horses. Their leader was gazing at the sinking sunlight before commanding them in a hoarse voice. “ It's time.” There was no words between them, just silence. In the village below, a drum could be heard beating by the village elders, celebrating the festival of the gods.
Little did they know, that it would be the last festival ever to be celebrated.
Chapter One – The Last One
Buffy Summers gazed at the sunrise, letting the sunlight wash over her. How long was it already? She wondered what had happened to her four students. Time past quickly. It wasn't long before the humans had evolved into today. She had witnessed the rise and fall of the Romans, and countless other great empires. She had stepped into the Sunnydale a long time ago, when people were still living in mud huts.
She saw Faith twisting her new dagger, testing out it's weight. Buffy couldn't help but give a slight snort. How ignorant was she when she condemned her sister slayer? She forgot she had killed many others, their blood could fill the whole of L.A. A long time ago, when she was called Serpia, when she roamed the lands freely, when she killed without remorse. Each human's death was a satisfaction to her. She wanted to pay the humans back, to teach them a lesson, to show them what they had done to her......
“Buffy! Can we go now? Giles says the meeting is really important. Something about another group of Watchers,” Dawn shouted at her.
“Yeah, just give me 10 minutes!” Buffy hollered back. Looking one last time at the sunrise, Buffy 'Elizabeth' Summers went down to her room.
On her way down, she was greeted by many reverent glances. She could hear the mini slayers whispering to each other, telling their own tales about the original Slayer. She slammed her room door behind her, effectively shutting down the whispers.
“Hey babe, hurry up. Giles getting impatient,” Willow whispered in Buffy's ear.
Buffy responded with a shrug. “Well, he can wait. This girl here needs to change.”
Willow purred into Buffy's ear, “Want me to help?”
The next thing they knew, Buffy was pressing Willow against the wall, sharing a hot and passionate kiss. A few minutes later, Willow pushed Buffy away. “Not that I don't want to continue, but we are running out of time. Giles gonna blow a fuse."
Buffy groaned. “Willow, Willow, Willow. Why must you always pick the worst time to say such things!”
After a quick change, the Scooby gang were sitting in a car, merrily speeding away to meet the mysterious new Council.
