There was now something Jackie hated more than Chicago and public transportation. It was strippers. Particularly strippers who your boyfriend runs off to Vegas and marries.
"Just so you know, Michael, I blame you," Jackie said, she glared at her ex-boyfriend as they walked away from The Hub, the streetlights guiding their way through the night.
"Come on, Jackie. I bought you fries, what else am I suppose to do?"
"Go back in time and keep your pants on."
Michael eyed her suspiciously, "Who told you I was building a time machine? Was it Fez?"
Jackie rolled her eyes as she walked on ahead, throwing her hands up in the air as she let out her frustration, "A Stripper!"
"Yeah, who'd have thought Hyde would marry a stripper," Michael laughed and then shook his head in admiration, "some guys just have all the luck."
"He'll marry a stripper but he won't marry me," Jackie said as she spun around to face him. Her eyes suddenly drew down to the pavement as her words sunk in and sobered her blind rage into a gloomy numbness.
Steven was going to marry her. Donna had spilled the fact that he had gone to Chicago to ask her to marry him. But what might have been was overshadowed by how quickly he could marry a complete stranger when his commitment to her had always been uncertain.
"Am I really that bad?" she asked, her voice wavering.
"Look, Jackie," Michael said, as he rested his hand on her shoulder, "If Hyde can't see what he's missing that's his loss."
"We're beautiful people and some people just can't handle us being so beautiful." He pointed towards a passerby, "Take for instance that guy, ugly people don't know how good they have it, being this beautiful isn't always easy. Being beautiful can sometimes be a curse. We can't help attract attention, even the unwanted kind."
"That's true, you do attract attention," said a voice from behind them.
They turned to see that the passerby had stopped. But his appearance was unlike it was before. His forehead had toughened around his now hardened eyes and he smiled revealing glistening fangs.
"Hey man, cool mask," Michael said, motioning towards the man's face.
"That's not a mask," Jackie said, her face paled in recognition.
