Ben never thought he would come back to Seattle; not after the last time. He had been killing people in the name of the Blue Lady; but really. He had been really trying to kill himself over and over. He would find someone who had blind faith in Her. Then; he would kidnap, tattoo his bar code on them; break their necks, and knock their teeth out leaving the teeth on a church alter for the bitch.

Flashback

He remembered when Maxie found him and the day in woods .

"I can't Ben, " Max began to cry.

"Yes you can Max! You have to! Don't let them take me. You know what they'll do to me, “Ben said looking up into her face.

She looked down into his eyes, "I can carry you. Ben, please don't make me do this to you." She cried, as a tear fell from her eye Ben reached up and caught the tear on his finger.

"You know it has to be this way Maxie. I have to pay for my sins," he said caressing the side of her face.

"No damn it Ben help me. I can't loose you after I've just found you, " she said desperately.

"You're wasting time Max do it, “he ordered. With that Max quickly snapped his neck.

Flashback Ends

Ben‘s thoughts were broken when he heard a bike bell. Ring! Ring!He was standing outside Jam Pony. That is where Maxie works. He needed to go in. He had written her after the day in the woods.

At first Maxie thought it was a prank, but then realized the guy had to be Ben. He knew too much about her. he knew about the things only she and Ben had shared in Manticore; the things she and Ben had shared that day in the woods.

Ben had written her about what had happened after she left him; Leydecker found Ben’s body, but didn’t take it back to Manticore. He wrote up in the report that X5 493 was dead. He took pictures and closed the file. In truth, Leydecker was tired of loosing his kids Zack, Tinga, and now Ben. He sent Ben’s body in Cryostat to a friend; who sent him to a man named Graham. He took Ben to Cleveland where a witch named Willow re-en-souled Ben’s body. She fixed his broken neck and sprained ankle too. Ben had to work on the hard stuff though. He had to work on self-esteem and the abuse that made him hate himself. He saw a shrink twice a week and joined the Watcher’s. He even met someone. Maxie had told him if he was ever in Seattle again; he had to stop and see her. So, when he and his partner got an assignment here Ben decided to pay Max a visit.

Jam Pony Package Delivery

Sketchy stared as Alec; just walked into Jam Pony. Correction, as another Alec just walked into Jam Pony.

“Maxie?” Alec’s twin called out in an unsure voice.

There was no yelling, “Don’t call me Maxie”, and she didn’t smack this guy upside his head. There was only a small gasp; and a look of awe and nervousness.

“Ben?” Max answered with a smile.

That’s when everyone in Jam Pony knew that this was not Alec. Alec’s twin, no what was the name Max called him; Ben. Ben’s smile held no cynicism, no hilarity; no wit only pure joy. He was genuinely happy to see her.

“How are you Maxie? It’s been a long time.” Ben told her.

“Ben!” Max through herself into his arms. He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. “Oh my God. Is it really you? I mean I know we write, but I… I missed you. ” she asked amazed.

“It’s me alive and healthy. It’s so good to see you little sister.”

“You look great. What are you doing in Seattle?” Max asked excitedly.

“I had been business and my partner is wrapping it up; so I decided to come and see my sister and invite her and Logan to dinner?” Ben told her smiling still holding Max.

“Business, you mean hunting demons and vampires. Logan and I aren’t together anymore. I am with another X5 his name is Alec. We’d love to have dinner with you and your friend.” Max told him.

Standing across the room Alec was not pleased. His twin was holding his girlfriend. The girlfriend Alec had worked so hard to win over and was in madly in love with. Mad being the operative word sometimes he and Max were; so hot they would couldn’t look at each other without fighting. Sometimes, Alec thought to himself Max wasn’t able to love Alec because of Ben especially when she thought she had killed him. Alec sometimes wondered if Max might be in love his evil twin. Damn his life sucked.

“Well, well … if it isn’t ‘my big brother Ben’.” Alec jumped over the counter where he had been standing by Sketchy.

The silence in Jam Pony was deafening. It seemed to last for a long time. Everyone thought Alec was going to beat the shit out of this fake want to be Alec…meaning Ben. The moment was becoming tense everyone held their breath.

Finally, OC broke the silence, “Max introduce your man to his brother; gee girl rude much?” Then, OC turned to everyone in the place; “Hello, people packages to deliver pay checks to earn. Right Normal?”

Normal began barking out addresses and handing out packages. Jam Pony was bustling with noise again and Alec and Max’s family drama was forgotten.

Max laughed and pulled herself out f Ben’s arms. She went over to Alec; pulling him to where Ben was standing looking a little shocked.

“Ben, this is my boyfriend Alec. He is an X5 494. Alec this is my brother Ben,” Max began.

“Don’t you mean my big brother Ben?” Alec smirked.

“Don’t be snarky Alec, he is your twin, but we were the same unit…”

“We were in the same family and she is my little sister. You can be my brother if you want?
Ben told Alec having cut off Max. Just then Ben cell phone rang. He checked the Caller ID and picked it up.

“Yeah, are you alright? Sure, I am on my way. My sister and twin will join us for dinner tonight. Yeah, I said twin.” Ben smiled. “Be there in five minutes.”

Ben looked at Max and Alec. “I have to go, but I’ll see you both tonight at the restaurant. Ben smiled.Once outside; he was gone blurring and disappearing blending into shadows.

Max looked at Alec.

“Are you okay? Will be able to have a civil dinner with him?” Max asked.

Alec wanted to snap Ben in two. Alec knew that Max had not wanted to date him at first; because he reminded her of dear brother Ben and she had killed him. Plus, Max thought it was kind of gross at first. Then, she realized Alec was his own man. She was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Sometimes, he couldn’t forget having been locked in psy-ops for six months; all because he might be defective like Ben. Alec still had nightmares about being locked up alone. He also knew Max wanted them to get along. He would have to try; if he didn’t he could loose her.

“Yeah, Max I can’t wait to have dinner with him and his friend. I want to get to know him. He is my twin after all, and I now he means a lot to you.” Alec leaned in to give her a quick kiss.

“Thank you Alec,” Max whispered returning his kiss with a deep rough one.

Normal cleared his throat and handed them both a package. “Get to work, or find a new job love birds.”

Hotel Corbel-Seattle

Faith had just gotten out of the shower. She was drying her hair. Her slayer sense told her that Ben was on the balcony. He liked the room. It was on the twenty-seventh floor; Ben liked heights; he always had and Faith knew it. Faith knew everything about him and still wanted to be around him. Ben needed Faith. Whenever; he started to see the dark she was there and pulled him back she was his faith.No more faith in in a cold statue or mythical woman that didn't answer his prayers.

Faith went out on the balcony in the towel. She roughly braced Ben against the railing. Then got up on him and wrapped her legs around his waist. Faith pulled off Ben’s shirt and pulled his belt off popping the button of his pants. His pants fell with little effort and they began to kiss urgently; biting and drawing blood. Ben licked it off. Faith ran her tongue over her bloody lip. It was copper and slick. He slipped his hands under the towel to hold her breasts and ass. Then he slid into her. They began moving slow and smooth at first. Ben began to move again rising over her. Faith could feel him inside moving and filling her with heat. Then the pace quickened with urgency. They collapsed in a heap of tangled limbs.

Faith liked Ben. He was like her, not all there a little broke. They both had self-esteem issues and could kick serious ass. He was stealthy and fast. He was smart and lethal. Plus, he had great stamina. Ben was a great lay, excellent recovery time, and after sex, or when in a deep sleep he purrs. It’s really cute. Ben wouldn’t hurt her like others have. He lived by a code duty, mission, and loyalty. Faith could love this one, no Faith loved this one.

The Round Table Restaurant-Seattle

“I can’t believe he invited us to dinner, and is fifteen minutes late.” Alec complained to Max.

“Will you just relax eat a bread stick,” Max responded. Then, she smiled Ben walked in with a beautiful sleek sexy brunette on his arm.

“Hey, guys sorry were late; Faith couldn’t find her other shoe.” Ben began.

“Ben was kind enough to run down to the lobby gift shop and find me a pair; even though they don’t match.” Faith smiled.

“Maxie, Alec, this is Faith. She is a vampire slayer; my partner and girlfriend.” Ben introduced.

“Hi, Faith it is really nice to meet you.”Max said cheerfully.

Dinner went relatively well the girls chatted about combat moves and strategies, but the boys seemed to be looking at each other like they were ready to bust. Also, most of Alec’s comments to Ben were snarky or snippy at best. Ben wasn’t letting it piss him off; Faith wouldn’t get involved, but the minute it did she'd put this Alec kid in his place.

Then, Faith felt it a vampire in the restaurant. Ben must have sensed it too. He rose seeing that the vamp was heading toward Alec; who had gotten up to go to the bathroom. Ben rushed Alec and shoved through the door. The Vamp tried to sink her fangs into Ben, but he was too fast blurring out of the way. Talons from her finger nails raked Ben; tearing into his chest causing blood to flow. Max screamed. Faith had jumped up; breaking the chair she was sitting in. She shoved the wood into the Vamp bitch’s chest. She was dust. Ben was bleeding. Faith had to go get back to hotel and fix the wounds. Alec came out of the bathroom stared at his twin with real concern. Faith jumped up and hauled Ben over her shoulder. She began running toward The Hotel Corbel. Faith could sense Alec and Max running close behind her.

The Hotel Corbel 27th Floor Faith and Ben's Room

Faith laid Ben on their bed. She barked out orders to Max and Alec.

“Alec get me some towels from the bathroom. Max get me hot water. Move!”

Faith reached into her bag pulling out a medical kit. She used the towels that Alec brought her; and the hot water Max gave her to wash out the wound. Then she used the anti-infection spray Willow magically conjured to stop any chance of infection or virus. Faith took out a suture kit and stitched him up. She put gauze on the wound and taped him up.
Ben moaned, but opened his green eyes.

“Hey, babe I’m okay. Listen, by tomorrow I’ll be fine.” Ben smiled painfully.

“You just lay down and stay put Mister.” Faith told him squeezing his hand.Ben closed his eyes and slept.

Max, Alec, and Faith went into the living room area.

Max looked at Faith and asked, “When were you guys planning to go back to Cleveland?”

“We were planning to head back tomorrow; but there is another nest. We need to stay and take care of it.” Faith told them.

“You’re going to hunt them alone?” Alec asked concern ringing in his voice.

“I could, but you heard Ben. He will be up and ready to tear them up.” Faith explained.

“Ben, he's in the other room with a huge gash in his chest.” Max said angrily.

“Ben will be fine. The medicine I put on the wound will have him healed soon. Plus, Ben is a fast healer you guys should know that. He is pre- genetically disposed to heal fast.” Faith told Max annoyed.

“Yeah, but even we need to recover when our chests get ripped open.” Alec told her.

“Well Ben must be a better model; because he has great healing and recovery time.” Faith told him in a snippy tone.

“What is your problem?”Alec asked.

“I don’t know. What was your problem at dinner tonight when you were being snarky and snippy to Ben. You know the guy who just found out he had a twin today. Even though you acted like an asshole at dinner; he threw you in a bathroom to protect you from a Vampire.” Faith spat.

“Yeah, also the guy that killed a bunch of people. The guy who got me locked up in psy-ops for six months so they could make sure his melt down wasn’t genetic. I also was arrested and they tried to blame those killings on me. Great guy!” Alec yelled.

“He is. You know nothing. When he escaped Manticore, he didn’t have nice a foster family to take care of him. He had a family that took him in. The older son used him as a fuck toy. He would tie him up, gag, and beat him. Then, he got away told his priest everything; that pig threatened to send him back to Manticore. That bastard set him up in room and drugged him. Then, let strangers who paid have at your brother. So, it isn’t poor Alec. Of course Ben snapped;he went after the people he did; because they reminded him of those that hurt him. He put his bar code on them. Why you ask? He wanted to die. Get the picture yet.” Faith snapped at them starring at Alec.

“I-I didn’t know.” Alec said quietly.

“Me either. You really care about my brother.” said Max softly.

“Yeah, well we are sort of cut from the same cloth. Besides, he takes care of me too. Look Alec, I get that you had it rough because of Ben; but scrap that. Get to know him. I bet you two would really get along.” Faith told him.

“Why don’t you guys visit us some time in Cleveland? You can check out Watcher’s and what we do.” Faith told them.

“We would love too.” Max and Alec said in unison.

Faith and Ben got up the next day and went to the vampire nest. They destroyed every vampire in the place.


The Following Day-Seattle International Airport

Faith and Ben went to the airport to catch their flight home.

“Your back in fighting form. Want to join the mile high club on this flight? Faith said smiling wickedly at Ben; running her hand over his chest.

“You’re on babe.” Ben smiled at her happily pulling her onto his lap.

“Hey, you two, we just wanted to come see you both off; and let you know we'll see in Cleveland.”Max and Alec said.

"That's great! We will see you soon then." Ben said cheerfully.

The flight attendant called their boarding number and Faith and Ben got on the plane.Ben smiled. He was hoping they would come and say goodbye. He wanted to get to know more about Alec; and hoped Alec wanted to know more about him too.

Ben loved Max like a sister; and was glad she still wanted him in her life. Faith knew that; and was happy that his family came to say goodbye. She was glad she hadn't scared them off.
