Disclaimer: Buffy and company are owned by Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, etc. Highlander and company are owned by Panzer, etc. I don't own them, I'm just borrowing them for a little while. They'll be returned safe and sound...possibly even in better shape than when they started out ;-)

Staring at the letter that was addressed to him, Xander slowly read it through a second and then a third time, before setting it down and shaking his head slowly.
So his maternal grandmother had a safe deposit box and it wasn’t to go to his mom, but instead to him. It wasn’t to be given to him until his 21st birthday. Weird, but he’d heard of weirder things in the past. Still he was nearly 23(?) now, which definitely a bit past when it had originally been slated for.

Then again with the fact that Sunnydale had basically collapsed in on it’s self, it would have taken a while to track him down, verify that they had found the correct person and so on. So what had his grandmother left him.

Reviewing the list of required information, he made a mental checklist and found that he had ready access to everything. It wouldn’t be that expensive to have a notary verify and sign off on the letter.

Signing the letter in front of the notary and providing his old Sunnydale ID to verify who he was, Xander waited as the document was stamped and paid the fee.

Placing the relevant photo copied materials along with the notarized and witnessed letter into the envelope he headed to the post office to mail it off. As requested he was sending it return receipt to ensure that it was signed for and to verify that it was received.

Signing for the package from FedEx, Xander took it smiling slightly at the return address on it. Taking it up to his room he sat down to see exactly what it was his grandmother had wanted for him to have so badly.
